Re: Retention of 'Long-Term' Crunchers.

After a quick scan of the first page, and the last few pages, I decide not to get involved in any discussion here.

Although here is how "I" can be kept aboard for as long as possible:
- Give me information on the forums (check)
- Give me workunits to crunch (check)
- Don't bother me with emails, facebook, phone calls or whatever

If or when I decide to go, nothing WCG can do will stop me. In the meantime, I really love the "set-and-forget" concept. If I want information, I can get it. Perfect!

Re: Retention of 'Long-Term' Crunchers.

No one is suggesting that we start harassing members. We all understand that would be counterproductive.

The email idea is only in the case of people who have left and that is already something that is done btw. The only NEW idea would be to ask people to do a quick survey to try to find out WHY they decided to leave since as it stands now, all we really have is speculation.

Re: Retention of 'Long-Term' Crunchers.

That particular job may be an anomaly for him, but I wonder what his average points per hour is for that machine on CEP2.
Cheers

each thread claims around 15 ish and gets maybe 20 pts per hour typically on cep2... (at least according to the last set of 15 that I put into a s/sheet)

this sound "reasonable to me"...although a survey can be made for:
- the ones who left
- the ones who stayed

and we could see what their motives are for staying with/leaving the WCG! cool

Re: Retention of 'Long-Term' Crunchers.

Survey? Sounds acceptable.

As long as it can be ignored.
