Making it 21 daysas at last night, assuming the missing 125 (numerically) will show up after the usual EOKW housekeeping takes place. English bookies though would take "it will stop in October" bets at 50 cents to the dollar... it makes no sense with what is known... short for: (Moi) Would be very surprised. The indicated project update is still eagerly awaiting :).

There's a way to "postpone ECD", but it involved a lot of resends...so not sure if the techs would be angry, if some of us disclose those ideas! :/

15 days now :-) crunch crunch crunch!
----------------------------------------I wonder which research will get the lucky 'normal' feeder priority position. I hope for UGM and HST. That will get them completed pretty quick. |

I wonder which research will get the lucky 'normal' feeder priority position. I hope for UGM and HST. That will get them completed pretty quick. It would finish them quickly but UGM files are on the bigger side and so they'll be hesitant to up the speed on those as it'll put more strain on the servers. And WCG likes to stretch things out for multiple reasons. If MCM finishes soon (I'm still guessing they'll add more WUs to study) then Zika and FA@H2 will probably get massive bumps. A part of me loves completion, so I very much look forward to MCM and UGM wrapping up. ![]() |

A part of me loves completion, so I very much look forward to MCM and UGM wrapping up. Me too! Which is why I've pretty much resolved myself to another "last minute addition of batches to MCM" just like last year. There's a part of me that's really hoping that we've mopped up all the work, but I'm doing my best to quell that for the next couple of weeks. I can't have that hope dashed again two years in a row. I enjoy seeing us all pulling together and reaching a goal. (By the way, if there is additional work loaded for MCM, I'll probably run it.) |

The following figures are based on a total number of work units of 530,000,000 from cubes (project scientist) with the addition of Seippel (WCG tech).
----------------------------------------Hello all, We've received an update on the estimate batch count from the researchers that has added another 9000 batches making the new estimate 26,500 batches. However, this is only an estimate (a lot can change in the almost one year it will take to complete these new batches). Also, the progress bar on the webpage has been updated accordingly. Thanks, Seippel Last 30 day average results:506,255Estimated end date using 30 day average: October 5, 2016 Percent Complete:98.91449% The average length of a WU is currently running about 4.09 hours, slightly longer than last week, and still trending steady around the 4 hour mark. The trend line for the past few weeks has been for the workunits to be ever so slightly shorter on average and this week they were slightly longer again. Still have not seen any of the batches from 122278 to 122402. The ovarian units started with 122403 as the lowest number. My latest batch number was 126272 which would give about 178 batches for the week. Therefore, by this measure the project is about 98.67% complete. (Take this number with a large grain of salt, but it is now the same number as displayed on the research page ).We are still at about .38 more months (approx. 11 days)of additional crunching at the current recent run rate. The projected completion date has held steady all week for the previous three weeks. Production increased a bit this past week going from about 3.4 million WU's to 3.52 million WU's completed. During this past week the time devoted to MCM1 was just under an average of 233 years per day, compared to 225 years per day the previous week. Getting back to about 3.5 million work units or more per week will move that completion date closer. Remember, the situation can change at any time and these are only estimates. Cheers
Sgt. Joe

Thanks Sgt. Joe! :)
----------------------------------------Last day was a real bump up in results returned for MCM by the looks of it. Let's finish MCM and UGM and await phase 2 of HFCC! ![]() Join The International Team: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTeamInfo.do?teamId=CK9RP1BKX1 AMD TR2990WX @ PBO, 64GB Quad 3200MHz 14-17-17-17-1T, RX6900XT @ Stock AMD 3800X @ PBO AMD 2700X @ 4GHz |
