Well, I'm slowly going to be adding MCM back into my mix... Uhh, I have to speed up to get my 10 years on mcm. I have to speed up too: my objective is to get my first diamond badge with MCM. Yeap, I have to start switching to MCM also... I have 3 years and would like to make it the diamond (currently crunching UGM & OET).CJSL Crunching like there's no tomorrow... ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by cjslman at Feb 21, 2015 12:35:59 AM] |

Re: MCM Progress Reports - February 22, 2015 Update
----------------------------------------The following figures are based on a total number of work units of 350,000,000 from cubes. Last 30 day average results: 604,295 Estimated end date using 30 day average: August 26, 2015 Percent Complete: 67.87795% The average length of a WU is currently running about 4.67 hours. If I look at the latest batch I have received, 11889, that would be about 67.94% complete. We are at about 6.2 more months of additional crunching at the current recent run rate. The volatility of the batches has been remarkably consistent this week, varying just between 4.24 hours to 4.94 hours on average per work unit. We still seem to be headed for a completion date sometime in early September/late August, but conditions could change. The changes in the other projects does not seem to have affected MCM1 much. We could not match last week's results production, but it was still a good week with almost 4,000,000 units processed. Crunch on Good crunching everyone. Cheers

I'm impressed that we've added about 200,000 - 300,000 OET tasks each day, and still have managed to keep MCM cranking along north of 500,000 each day. I'm sure the aforementioned consistent MCM batch size has helped (as has OET tasks which finish in a matter of minutes). But all in all, that's a lot of work flowing through the grid.

The reason MCM has this overall high share is the effect of long jobs and 'Normal' feeder weighting, much higher than OET1 and UGM1. Because of running long, they kind of reserve a thread, my laptop doing them now in 12+ hours each. Anytime an all-project profile device checks in, first coming out is MCM because of it 'Normal' slot occupation in shared memory. Because FAHV is seeing the end [defined amount of remaining work, no more new experiments], and almost without doubt is wanted to be run till it's 10th anniversary in November, don't see that project being put on par **, going then to produce this out of whack picture http://bit.ly/WCGSHR ... Pluto and it's moons lower left side and Jove right top almost off the chart. ** But maybe it will get a little closer if the last week before indicated 'size-up' takes effect. |

Re: MCM Progress Reports - March 1, 2015 Update
----------------------------------------The following figures are based on a total number of work units of 350,000,000 from cubes. Last 30 day average results: 631,637 Estimated end date using 30 day average: August 18, 2015 Percent Complete: 69.08632% The average length of a WU is currently running about 3.77 hours. If I look at the latest batch I have received, 12101, that would be about 69.15% complete. We are at about 5.7 more months of additional crunching at the current recent run rate. Once again, the volatility of the batches has been remarkably consistent this week, varying just between 3.77 hours to 4.70 hours on average per work unit with 3.77 occurring on Sunday, all the rest of the days being in the 4 hour area. We have moved the completion date up to sometime in mid August, but conditions could change. The changes in the other projects does not seem to have affected MCM1 too much, but MCM is certainly getting the lion's share of the crunching power of late. It was a good week with over 4,000,000 units processed. Crunch on Good crunching everyone. Cheers

Re: MCM Progress Reports - March 8, 2015 Update
----------------------------------------The following figures are based on a total number of work units of 350,000,000 from cubes. Last 30 day average results: 618,462 Estimated end date using 30 day average: August 22, 2015 Percent Complete: 70.25012% The average length of a WU is currently running about 5.02 hours. If I look at the latest batch I have received, 12303, that would be about 70.30% complete. We are at about 5.612 more months of additional crunching at the current recent run rate. The last couple of days showed a rise in the average length of a WU to just over 5 hours. Still a relatively flat week for WU duration. The completion date remains sometime in mid August, but conditions could change. The changes in the other projects does not seem to have affected MCM1 too much, but MCM is certainly continuing to get the lion's share of the crunching power. Although it was slightly less than last week, we still surpassed 4,000,000 units processed this past week. Crunch on Good crunching everyone. Cheers
