Re: MCM Progress Reports - January 25 Update

Re: MCM Progress Reports - January 25, 2015 Update
The following figures are based on a total number of work units of 350,000,000 from cubes.

Last 30 day average results: 554,435
Estimated end date using 30 day average: September 14, 2015
Percent Complete: 63.07887%
The average length of a WU is currently running about 4.92 hours.

If I look at the latest batch I have received, 11041, that would be about 63.09% complete.

We are at about 7.77 more months of additional crunching at the current recent run rate. The volatility of the batches continues to vary, which causes the end date to oscillate, but we seem to be headed for a completion date sometime in September, but conditions could change. Once again this past week we have seen a few batches with some short and long WU's. OET1 is still on hiatus for the moment, but may be restarting soon if the BETA'S are OK. UGM continues to plug along at a low priority. Good crunching everyone.

Cheers

Re: MCM Progress Reports - January 25 Update

Sgt.Joe, it's evident to me from slicing up the runtime cycles, that there's really a rather predictable amount of CPU years of work left, sec, take a cycle mean runtime and multiple by the number of batches left. The remaining variable is then by and large the amount of work contributed, seasonally adjusted and overall WCG share. My cheat-chart says we're done round about end of September on the known work which is sort of 2 weeks after your new-work date of mid September.

Crowd Crunch On.

P.S. Making is 65.18% distributed at this time.

It is always nice to have someone else take a stab at the project completion date through another angle. It appears we are both in about the same timeframe if the work continues with the same approximate cycle fluctuation. Of course, you are right when you reference the variable of amount of work/time contributed per day figure, which may change with the advent of other projects. It is always most difficult to to make projections concerning unforeseen future events. Crunch on.

Re: MCM Progress Reports - February 2 Update

Re: MCM Progress Reports - February 2, 2015 Update
The following figures are based on a total number of work units of 350,000,000 from cubes.

Last 30 day average results: 583,033
Estimated end date using 30 day average: September 2, 2015
Percent Complete: 64.29018%
The average length of a WU is currently running about 3.08 hours.

If I look at the latest batch I have received, 11254, that would be about 64.31% complete.

We are at about 7.15 more months of additional crunching at the current recent run rate. The volatility of the batches continues to vary, which causes the end date to oscillate, but we seem to be headed for a completion date sometime in September, but conditions could change. Once again this past week we have seen a few batches with some short and long WU's. I am still wondering, just like everyone else on how soon OET1 will restart. UGM has had its priority upped slightly, which doesn't yet seem to have material effect. Another wrinkle is the end of Autodock units for FAAH, which may entice some crunchers to go exclusively for the Vina units. So many potential changes, but we crunch on. Good crunching everyone.

Re: MCM Progress Reports - February 8 Update

Re: MCM Progress Reports - February 8, 2015 Update
The following figures are based on a total number of work units of 350,000,000 from cubes.

Last 30 day average results: 561,053
Estimated end date using 30 day average: September 11, 2015
Percent Complete: 65.25813%
The average length of a WU is currently running about 5.56 hours.

If I look at the latest batch I have received, 11425, that would be about 65.28% complete.

We are at about 7.22 more months of additional crunching at the current recent run rate. The volatility of the batches continues to vary, which causes the end date to oscillate, but we seem to be headed for a completion date sometime in September, but conditions could change. This week may not be typical because of the update WCG performed which has caused a momentary blip in the statistics. The 30 day average helps to smooth this but I am guessing a few crunchers ran dry and the pending validations may have gone up a bit. I am still wondering, just like everyone else on how soon OET1 will restart, now that this last Beta run looks pretty successful. Another wrinkle is the end of Autodock units for FAAH, which appears to have finally happened. So many potential changes, but we crunch on.
Edit: I just noticed we have now passed the 1 billion(10^9) hours of run time for this project.
Good crunching everyone.

Cheers
