Re: MCM1 Progress Reports - March 15, 2015 Update
----------------------------------------The following figures are based on a total number of work units of 350,000,000 from cubes. Last 30 day average results: 584,832 Estimated end date using 30 day average: September 2, 2015 Percent Complete: 71.25293% The average length of a WU is currently running about 5.42 hours. If I look at the latest batch I have received, 12472, that would be about 71.269% complete. We are at about 5.73 more months of additional crunching at the current recent run rate. The last week showed a rise in the average length of a WU to just about 5.5 hours. A little bit of an increased duration. The completion date has slipped into the beginning of September. MCM1 is certainly continuing to get the lion's share of the crunching power. With the increased length of the WU's, we slipped to about 3.5 million WU's for the week. Crunch on Good crunching everyone. Cheers

---------------------------------------- 71% for you vs 75% on the research page From what Rob said, the 75% is OK... |

Thanks for the update Sgt.Joe ! 71% for you vs 75% on the research page From what Rob said, the 75% is OK... I am calculating on what has been returned. I speculate the research page is calculating on what has either been issued or has been queued for the feeders. There is potentially about a 7 day difference (probably less) which accounts for all of the "in progress" WU's. Since I have no way of knowing how many WU's are sitting on crunchers' machines, I base my figures on what has been returned. Thanks for noticing. Cheers

The plot bar(s) per uplinger are 'on the clock' [at least for UGM per his response]. Eventually work volume will converge with calendar... at 100% ;o)
Actually I am calculating on work submitted [last received]. There will be a little lapse to being returned, but have 71.55% per midnight [last real 12529 at 08:33 UTC]. Per the Performance Chart, we're on day 495 at 75% per research page. Whenever the number turned from 74%, there's about 165 days till completion, [latish] August 2015 as the research page indicates, so very close to a early September convergance :O) |

----------------------------------------The following figures are based on a total number of work units of 350,000,000 from cubes. Last 30 day average results: 562,309 Estimated end date using 30 day average: September 9, 2015 Percent Complete: 72.21572% The average length of a WU is currently running about 5.39 hours. If I look at the latest batch I have received, 12639, that would be about 72.2223% complete. We are at about 5.76 more months of additional crunching at the current recent run rate. The last week showed a remarkable stability in the average length of a WU to just under 5.5 hours. The completion date has slipped a liitle further into September. MCM1 is certainly continuing to get the lion's share of the crunching power. We slipped to about 3.37 million WU's for the week. On Saturday, March 21, we had our 500th day of the project. Crunch on. Good crunching everyone. ![]() Cheers

When they say X number of CPU years, what CPU are they using as reference? (i7 @ 4GHz =! Pentium III @ 450 MHz)
