Paul, that Switch Application trick does not work anymore [since longer in fact, about from v6], at the very least when you only have WCG. The only way to force [I know] is up the MinB value to greater than half the shortest deadline, meaning if you have a MinB of 2 days, tasks with <=4 days deadline jump ahead, unless you've got too many. Then processing goes by Earliest Deadline First.

I got one of them thar beta tests yesterday. In the middle of it, I shut down BOINC, installed a Windows Update, and rebooted the PC. Got a valid -- the WU was kind of long 13 hours for me and about 19 hours for my wingman.

On one device one is now into the..., no it finished:

4 WUs I have suspended/resumed several times, all on a quad machine with LAIM ON. 3 of them have been deemed invalid while the wingman's got validated. A 4th is Pending Verification and I expect it to be marked invalid too. Here they are: BETA_ MCM1_ 0000144_ 8316_ 0-- BETA_ MCM1_ 0000144_ 8888_ 0-- BETA_ MCM1_ 0000144_ 6693_ 0-- BETA_ MCM1_ 0000144_ 3134_ 1-- Oh, right, system information: Win 7 x64 Ultimate AMD Phenom B50 x4 @3.1GHz (stock) RAMDisk 4.2.1.0 - 8GB partition Boinc 7.2.33 x64 Yep, I was right: 4th one was invalid too. In the meantime the same machine completed 4 more WUs that were validated. I really couldn't say what went wrong. Hope the techs will be able to figure it out. Knowledge is limited. I finished 11 wu, 2 of them were rebooted and the rest were suspended with LAIM off. 9 of them came back valid, 1 is still pending validation and the other one was pending verification then when it validated it became invalid.

Is the Result.out = 1627661.000000 different to the two valid of that last result that went invalid for you?
