I restarted 8 tasks BETA_ MCM1_ 0000144_ 3561_ 0-- Went invalidSo far 1 valid (restarted twice!), 3 pval, 2 pver, 2 still running Pvers (both restarted) BETA_ MCM1_ 0000144_ 3561_ 0-- ran 8 hours, logged 6.62 It does not match the wingman. Lets see if it will become invalid. BETA_ MCM1_ 0000144_ 8933_ 2-- ran 8.75 hours, logged 6.71. It does not match one wingman (the other errored) I think it will become invalid too. BETA_ MCM1_ 0000144_ 8933_ 2-- Also went invalid BETA_ MCM1_ 0000144_ 7332_ 0-- Pver status 2 more were successfully validated (3 total) even though they were both restarted. 2 others are Pval. I've got 2 that got a 24 hour deadline and are now No Reply status. They still have 12 hrs and 18 hrs to go.  I just restarted 8 more Beta 7.27 tasks. Lets see what happens.  Cheers   |

Why hasn't my beta WUs started on 2 PCs? MCM WUs with a deadline of 12/15-16 are running, but the beta WUs with a deadline of 12/13 are not. They don't automatically start on their own. If you have other jobs in your cache received earlier you must push them by suspending the others. Its the received date that sets the order, not the deadline, until the client goes into panic mode.Cheers |

4 WUs I have suspended/resumed several times, all on a quad machine with LAIM ON. 3 of them have been deemed invalid while the wingman's got validated. A 4th is Pending Verification and I expect it to be marked invalid too. Here they are:

Well, I managed to snag another 4 Beta WU's, and again, I've stopped BOINC a couple of times, as well as using the "softer" version of trying to break them (unchecking LAIM, suspending them and ensuring that they've completely unloaded themselves from memory), so now, it's all a case of letting them complete and seeing as to how they fare with the validator...

Finally went home and was able to check "suspend/resume" button with LAIM off: - Win 7 SP1 64-b, i7-3770, 7.0.64: both 218 (long WU's) and 400 (short WU's) batches resumed on latest checkpoint after Suspend as well as after PC restart. - Mac OS X Mavericks, i5-2500S, 7.0.65: also both 218 and 400 batches resumed fine after Suspend and after restart. Restart included the PRAM and VRAM reset (just to be thorough  ).All the best ETA1: so far I have gotten 55 WU's for 12 CPU threads: - 12 In progress - 0 Errors - 14 PVal's - 27 Valids - 0 Invalids - 2 PVer's ETA2: I have received the first long units today early morning UTC with 1 day deadline: intention, or mistake by techs? ETA3: checkpoints worked fine also after reinstall of BOINC on my Mac ETA4: no Errors nor Invalids so far, 30 PVal, 0 PVer, 61 Valids, 2 still In progress (218's) ETA5: you are very welcome cowtipperbs  Crunching@Home since January 13 2000. I micro-managed the betas sent on the evening of the 9/12/2013 so 4 were running alongside 3 MCM1s with another 4 MCM1s in status 'waiting to run' i.e. partially complete. I shutdown overnight and started again the next morning.
3 Betas valid 1 beta going through PVer and expected to go invalid BETA_ MCM1_ 0000144_ 5528_ 0 4 MCM1 valid 3 MCM1 PVal In other words a complete mix of expected behaviour. |
