strange. i think all work is just mathematical function, which GPU can calculate as well as CPU.

A gpgpu is 'still' a specialized computational instrument very good at doing certain things, like the asics is even more specialized. With the integrated cpu/gpu processors those lines are bound to blur in the coming years. There's one or two like seti who seem to make use of the gpu functions of an i7, but would you consider seti signal pattern analysis as complex? Got my doubts.

strange. i think all work is just mathematical function, which GPU can calculate as well as CPU. NOPE. GPU's are good at (better than CPU's) calc of the vectors....for some science that is good! For some irrelevant... ![]() |
