Thanks for the info Coleslaw.
As with the others, I'll wait until a new GPU project appears. Meanwhile I'll just have to spend my evenings reassuring my sobbing GPU that the world hasn't forgotten about it. |

You folks with idle GPU's should start running GPU Grid. The project deals with proteins much like FAH does. This way you can get some use out of the GPU while your CPU crunches away on WCG projects.

GPUgrid doesn't support Radeon GPUs. At least not atm.
I've also got a HD7750 idling... |

Jason Hanson,

Copy, client up and running. I have 1 million on that but just not as cool. Now my darn work firewall wont let the client update for my GPU to work on that either!
CURSE. |

Will they make a post or send out an email to let people know that GPUs are supported again?
I like the fact that WCG put your work in terms that people understand with run time in days, month, years. I have 1.5 million points for Folding At Home but what does that even mean? |

Will they make a post or send out an email to let people know that GPUs are supported again? Yes. Prior to starting a new project with GPU capabilities there will be emails, notices and Beta testing. [Edit 1 times, last edit by deltavee at Apr 22, 2014 1:06:42 PM] |

A tip for those who are looking for projects to keep their GPUs busy: Since it can be tricky to figure out if a project supports your card or not, you can use the WUprop project to see what other people are successfully running on the same card. Here's an example with the Radeon HD 7750:
----------------------------------------http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/results/gpu.py?fab...p;tri=projet&sort=asc You can look up other cards in the menu as well as other options such as CPU, Operating System, etc. I have found it to be a very useful tool, and the data is collected from volunteers running their BOINC project, which is non-CPU intensive so it doesn't take away work from any projects you are currently crunching. |
