Hi,
I've got boinc (is NOT installed as a service). I've set the options 'use GPU' on my device profile. And it still not using my GPU. Projects that I have: Clean Energy Project - phase 2 Mapping cancer markers Say no to Schistosoma einstein@home (this project is using my GPU and my intel i5 onboard GPU). fight@malaria I have a radeon HD7750 and a intel i5 (there's a onboard gpu on it). So, do WCG supports GPU processing? If yes, what I am doing wrong? |

Hello guizalan,
Our only GPU project was HCC (Help Conquer Cancer) which finished early in 2013. All of our current projects run on the CPU, including MCM (Mapping Cancer Markers) which is run by the same people who wrote the GPU program for HCC. At the moment there are no GPU projects under development. This decision is made by project scientists. If they want to run a project on GPUs, we are ready to support them. Lawrence |

quizalan, lawrencehardin is correct in what he says. From the list you mention above, only einstein has work for your HD7750. I don't know which i5 you have, but there are even fewer projects that support Intel GPU's. Einstein is one of them that does. If you are having trouble pulling work for it, I recommend going to their forums for assistance.

Hm... okay, so there is nothing wrong with my boinc as I thought. The einsten@home is using cpu, gpu and the intel cpu correctly. It's the i5 3570 (ivy bridge). Great cpu btw.
You can close this topic, thanks. |

You can close this topic, thanks. I'm not sure if you realise but you can set einsten@home to use GPU only, then save your CPU for World Community Grid. You change these types of settings in you online account for einsten@home. ![]() |

When are we going to get GPU projects? I like that when I used Folding at Home with Stanford that they used both the GPU and CPU. I would like to have the same thing with WCG.

Vishera, it has been stated over and over in multiple threads that WCG will offer GPU work when the subproject scientists develop an app for it. WCG does not create the apps for them. WCG has also stated that there weren't any new subprojects in the pipeline any time soon indicating a GPU app. So, for now we wait and hope for one while attaching our clients to other projects that can use them. I hope that helps.

Well that's a bummer. A part in my Vishera Machine is not being used. Radeon feels left out :(
