Credit goes to Mumak for posting the project's monicker MCM1. And to Randzo as well: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/...ad,35527_offset,70#437027 there are many other references to MCM1 in project files btw Hadn't read that thread. Edited my post accordingly. AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

I think the "MCM" referenced in Scribe's post below Randzo's post (link above) has very little to do with our new project, except that it too relates to cancer.
The "MCM" in "MCM complex" discussed in Scribe's quote is more likely to stand for MiniChromosome Maintenance, as in the science paper abstract here And Sekerob (post below Scribe's) was being a little foxy If you go fishing, you might just catch a herring or two - red ones! |

Hi all: I can't seem to get any more 7.24 work units - when will the next batch be released? The gates are open again: I got 31 of the 7.24 version without the 'd' in workunit name. |

We are running another expanded round of testing using the same application version. There are roughly 2.5 times as many tasks in this round as the previous. We have also given the beta more weight so it should be easier to get more tasks.
It is available on 32 & 64 bit Linux, 64 bit Intel Mac, 32 & 64 bit Windows. |

Since 7.24 I had no issues with these tasks.
----------------------------------------What do you think Kevin about the Beta progress and status, are we maybe approaching a release ? |

We are approaching it since we started with Betas, but we are definitely much closer to its launch

OOPS, I seem to have had a problem with a 7.24 workunit.
----------------------------------------I came home last evening and found BETA_BETA_9999981_0559d_0 was stuck at 77.96% with 10 hours of runtime. I let it run to 12 hours with no advance in the percentage, then stopped and restarted BOINC. The time fell back to 00:56 and percent to about 39.6%. It then started counting up slowly but normally until it reached 77.96% again at 2 hours and 43 minutes when the percentage stopped incrementing yet again. I let it run overnight, but this morning it was still at 77.96% and 10:00 hours so I finally aborted it. My wingman has not returned his/her copy yet, and the replacement wu has already gone out to someone. There were no messages that I could find on the machine to indicate any problems and the error message in Results Status on the website has little info. I hope you can get something from it. This is a Linux-64 box, latest version of Kubuntu, and has been very stable. This machine just now received 4 new 7.24 BETAs so I forced all of them to run immediately. I'll keep an eye on them. EDIT much later: The wingman completed in 15.86 hours. I should have just been patient. [Edit 1 times, last edit by gomeyer at Nov 7, 2013 9:43:51 PM] |

Any more new versions (7.25?) Beta work still to be had today (11/07)? Or has the testing rounds completed? Just asking so I know if I need to be on the lookout for new stuff....
