@nanoprobe - 7.23 was a limited run of only about 2000 tasks. 7.22 and 7.24 have the exact same number of workunits (in fact they are the exact same workunits in order to regression test)

@gomeyer - One key item to note in the log is this line "Result.out = 10479053.000000" The application is designed to exit when it predicates that the result output file is going to exceed approx 10MB. 10MB = 10,485,760 bytes (Result.out is reported in bytes). This means that the mechanism to prevent extremely large result files from being generated took affect and exited the task with information about what happened for the researchers to examine.

Three more are currently running concurrently. All three seem to be checkpointing every ten minutes and are all about half done after about two hours of elapsed time. Best part is that there's only about a 1-2 minute difference between elapsed time and CPU time, not the orders of magnitude difference as in the past betas.

EDIT: Remaining beta started. Stayed at 0.5% for the first 7-8 minutes and then started incrementing. At about 14-15 minutes and about 3.5%, did it's first checkpoint. It now looks to be checkpointing at 10 minute intervals as well.

3 of the 6 running on my windows 8, 8 core machine with BOINC 7.0.64 are having the issue with incrementing the progress bar, the other three seem to be fine. All of them are check pointing normally.

I don't know if this is just from the small sample or not, but all three of the ones who's progress bar is updating regularly only have "Computing Pass #" lines in their stderr.txt files, however the ones that are only updating every 1/2% or so have many lines of "WCGLearLimit(500000) reached..."

Also on my laptop there is a 7.21 WU that recently downloaded, should it be aborted or allowed to run through?
Edit: the .21 was loop crashing, so it was aborted.

Got two Beta 7.24 WUs. One running fine at the moment and the other just showed up waiting to execute. I did several suspend / resumes on the current one running and it behaved as it should. Still seeing the estimates on run time running around 11 hours now, though the current one running isn't quite to the 2 hour mark and its about 1/3 done - so it will likely finish around the 6 hour mark instead of 11 hours on the estimate.
