Re: New project in scope

Mumak,

There is no specific date for the BETA test.
As we now know, the new cancer project, which won't be named HCC2 since it's completely different from HCC, is supposed to launch this Fall, so anywhere from the 21st of September to the 21st of December.

There are no hints :D

Re: New project in scope

Why do you think it won't be the next HCC ?
According to news a few months ago, there should be a new project from the Ontario Cancer Institute.

Re: New project in scope

Yes it from the same scientists but it's not a follow-up to HCC. It's a completely different line of research.

Re: New project in scope

Thanks. There's just one question remaining: CPU or GPU too? ;)

Re: New project in scope

From what I remember now it will be CPU at first but later it may be expanded to Android and GPU.

Edit. I meant CPU at first, not GPU.

That's a standard practice here.
Though I think giving out more information about upcoming projects is not Top Secret//SCI//ORCON and would do no harm... I don't understand the point of such secrecy here...

Mumak, I'm led to believe, it's so that they can capitalise fully on a Press Release (and hence, hopefully attract new crunchers/returning crunchers, and possible new interest from the scientific community).

And because no project is a definite "go" until the Alpha testing stage is completed.
