Good Morning Team. I don't think I will ever understand how the average points generated figures are calculated. Nothing has changed on my 3 MACs, in fact they run better in the cooler temperatures we have had of late. However all 3 computers are showing a 20% drop in the Host Average statistic even though the daily run times are all between 18 and 20 days. There are not too many WUs in PV jail either. Why?

You mean Strictly Come Violence On Ice   Enjoy the game later. RTS - I don't think you are meant to understand how the points are calculated  But you are right though, that's a huge difference when your RT is pretty much the same each day. Is this since UGM has run out of WU? |

I think they use the same points scoring system as on QI. I'm on minus seventy three
 , its an improvement. |

Good morning everyone. I am not sure how the points system works (wet finger & stick it in the air, perhaps ), but am now concerned with having 36 pages of results instead of usual 10 - 15. No doubt that some wise cruncher would explain the arcane and esoteric reasons for this. In the mean time crunch on. |

Good Morning Team. :-)
----------------------------------------I am crunching OET only at the moment in a vain attempt to get my 10 year Diamond badge and also because (usually) OET is more points efficient. So... Same 3 machines, same daily run time (+/- 1 day) and a reported Gflop value which seems to range between 103 and 112. Normally my daily average is in the mid 10,000 but it seems to swing so wildly. Yesterday was crazy with 567 results crunched. Ah well - on with the motley. Not sure about the weather today - it was cold and miserable yesterday but the sun's not up yet so I can't judge. I'll be making a family sized Lasagne for Sunday lunch today which will no doubt be completely demolished in 30 minutes flat!

I think scol5913 has found the answer! It's the QI scoring system
----------------------------------------Domonijo - I too have had an increase in result pages which are mainly down to the recent batch of quick OET units. Because of these I managed to have 80 results in a day a couple of days ago as opposed to my usual 20ish. Enjoy Sunday lunch everyone. |
