Re: Good morning team.

@genhos - I've actually planted about 10 different varieties of sunflower - Yellow - Red - Chocolate - trad shape - Pom-Poms etc etc. The well sounds profound but think 4" ID with a 1HP submersible pump. Need to build a shelter and also install an accumulator to prevent surges. I need at least 20L a minute but that seems to be no problem here. The reason for the deeper well is that the current well water contains a lot of Iron Carbonate which turns the grass and plants yellow. Only cure is deeper! Also I could do with an effective gravel pack on my current well. At least I would be able to use the water from the new well for the swimming pool without worrying about yellow water (there is a joke there somewhere) indeed a local street is called Calle De La Lluvia de Oro, or in translation - Street of the Golden Rain (honest!).

Re: Good morning team.

Good Morning All.

A lovely day promised today with a maximum of 35 Deg C. I'm sitting here in my study watching an Ostrich foraging in the grass and I'm wondering how I could get one in the oven for Christmas. The poor birds get chased by dogs, which they can easily outrun, but it does cause them a modicum of stress. They are not fully grown yet but one of them has started to grow some of the plumes much beloved by Victorian Fashion.

Re: Good morning team.

Afternoon everyone,

I'm sad to say I will have to stop WCG, I just can no longer afford the electricity.
If the situation changes I'll be back like a shot.
Will pop in now and then to see how everyone is doing.
Very nice to know you all.

Re: Good morning team.

@DarkmatterNI - Sorry to see you go mate. Stick to the ice-cream so at least you have something to occupy your day rather than chatting here. Keep in touch!

No display on Ubuntu

Hello all, migration to Kubuntu went well(ish). First couple of days could see Graphical Interface of Boinc Manager. Now when I click on Boinc Manager, it goes through the motions and disappears. Can see from terminal window that units are being crunched, would like to see unit and queues. crying

Sorry to hear that Darkmatter but please do pop in here to let us know how things are going. Especially if you're on ice-cream making duties wink
All the best!

Nice one TMC applause

There are certainly some jokes to be had from your post RTS. Yellow water and Road of Golden Rain, weeeeeeeeeeee, tehehehe. Childish I know!
20L a minute sounds a lot but then your garden isn't quite windowbox.

Hopefully someone else here will be able to help you out there Domonijo, I haven't a clue!
