Good morning everyone. A nice sunny day here with temperatures heading for the upper 30s. Mental note to put some more water to freeze!

Good afternoon everyone. Dismal weather in Worcestershire, but at least we've had some cooler days, which is good for the crunching. I've just got my Emerald badge for MIP, so I'm a happy bunny despite the torrential rain and wind.

Good evening / afernoon / morning (delete as necessary)
----------------------------------------Snap Dave, what was turning out to be an absolute scorcher of a day here sudenly went black at around 5pm. The wind rose (and moved South) and we had a biblical deluge. Great for my garden but it has caused chaos on the roads in Santa Cruz which have to drain into canals that (usually) run in the centre of dual carriageways. Some of these canals overflowed which then made navigation a real hazard as you did not know if you were going to be plunged into one or not. It looks now like the storm, after an hours respite, has returned with a vengence. At least it will be cooler to sleep tonight.

Good Morning Everyone. At last a Formula One weekend where I don't have to get up at a ridiculously early hour. Go Lewis!
----------------------------------------On a WCG theme, has anyone else noticed a significant drop off in points awarded for MIP. Suddenly all my WUs are taking 3 - 4 hours and my points haul for 20 days crunching is heading South of 60,000. Let's hope that there is an improvement soon otherwise I will be heading rapidly backwards in the rankings.

Afternoon everyone,
----------------------------------------My trusty i5's latest achievements are an Emerald badge for MIP and 30 years Runtime :) In a few days the i5 will be utilised by my better half as I'll have my ThreadRipper up and running, if everything goes nice and smoothly, fingers crossed. Can't wait to see what it can do. Incredibly, I need 10 Sata ports and most motherboards have only 8, I do have a 4 port pcie expansion card which should work fine. My power supply is a Corsair 650 Gold which should suffice but may have to be upgraded later. I used an online Power calculator that recommended a 650-750 watt PS for all my devices. ![]() |
