Good morning all. Tom I will try to remember to send you congratulations. My birthday is 9th October - same as John Lennon (except he was a few years before me) - but he could play the guitar better!

Good morning all. Funny weather here at the moment - yesterday we had 2 inches of rain in the space of a couple of hours. Unfortunately it started just as I was coming to the end of my lawn mowing so I have a large patch that I wasn't able to finish. As I write it is still raining although not at the rate I saw yesterday. Rain is forecast for every day this week so I am going to have to select my time carefully to finish off. We bought a number of new and interesting plants at the weekend so now is an ideal time to put them in.

Evening all.
----------------------------------------We had a generally clear sunny day today, a rarity this year. I got rid of my small bit of lawn and replaced it with slate chippings, saves having to keep cutting it before it turns into some kind of jungle. As for the back garden, that keeps growing weeds. As for your interesting plants RTS, are any the equivalent of a Venus fly trap for peacocks? |

As for your interesting plants RTS, are any the equivalent of a Venus fly trap for peacocks? We do have Venus Flytraps and Pitcher plants but alas nothing big enough for a Peacock. Actually, since we have got rid of most of the weeds in the garden, we don't get many visits from our neighbours Peacocks. At the moment we are innundated with frogs and toads and an interesting 8" long centipedes with jaws that would frighten a Cobra (fortunately it was a dead specemin).
