Re: Good morning everyone

Evening all.

Yer, our Dave, a question or two for your about your stats page if you don't mind my curious mind.

I noticed yesterday that on the Runtime Rankings Gain list that a couple of the names were in blue text. Is this on purpose and if so what does the blue text mean?

Also on the All Sigs page there are a few sigs which show no totals for WCG yet have a total for the team. One example is adjordan, who has admittedly left the team, and another is barrie.trevena who is still on the team and returned a result today. Not seen that happen with your sigs before.

They're coloured blue to attract your attention. If the gain is significant (i.e. it passes a certain threshold, it's coloured blue. Here are the thresholds...
600, 500, 400, 300, 200, 100, 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10

As for the zero totals... good spot genhos! I presume there is a bug somewhere in my code, but it's odd that only 5 signatures are affected. Usually, bugs like that would cause a catastrophic failure. I'll have to have a detailed look at the data (maybe tonight if I get the chance). TBH, I haven't looked at any of it for many months now. It just works (mostly!!!).

Re: Good morning everyone

It certainly did grab my attention, and a bit of sanity has now been restored.
Pesky bugs (I wasn't looking for them honest!!), they get everywhere!

I'm sure you'll get to the bottom of it Dave.

Re: Good morning everyone

Good morning everyone. After my averages plummeting due to long SCC WUs they are now reciovering owing to short WUs. How can a project put the same GFlops estimate for a WU that takes ~5 hours with one that takes ~45 minutes? If you look at my run time and points haul for the last 30 days you will see what I mean - run time ~constant - points halved (or worse).

Re: Good morning everyone

The runtimes for SSC have been varied quite considerably recently. I've noticed in my boinc manager screen one unit still going after 7hrs yet several complete in under 1.5hrs. Strange for such a big difference in RT.

OK... I just made the fatal error of restarting my stats server. Remember what I said about errors like that usually being catastrophic? Well, it now fails to start with a "divide by zero" error, so my stats site is now offline for the foreseeable.

I'll try to fix it tonight, but I have a skirting board to paint first. Sorry guys.

Re: Good morning everyone

My stats site is back. Bloody British Summer Time!

(for the technically minded amongst you, for working out some stats it calculates the elapsed days, which was rounding down to zero, because the day was only 23 hours instead of 24).

I have no idea about the zero totals on the signatures, but I will look at it later.

Re: Good morning everyone

Morning all.

Tom, the All Sigs page can be found here http://wcg.36arn.co.uk/allsigs

It is quite a kaleidoscope and possibly not one to watch it load if psychedelic flashing colours gives anyone seizures as sometimes I find it quickly loads each different colour sig one by one making it look like lots of different colours are flashing on the screen.
