Watch this space, I am buying another server next week... biggrin Dread to see what my electricity bills will be though. crying @Tom that's awesome, can't wait to see the impact on the team performance for the other one too!  I'd love to run a big server, but 1KW constantly means approximately £1000/year in electricity Not with a 20kw PV array biggrin I'm using those servers instead of electric panel heaters so for me it kind of makes sense ... at least this time of year, I'm hoping my new low voltage chips will take a much more modest power draw once finished, I certainly won't be running 1kw once it warms up. PV powered crunching that's the dream! 20kw is a lot as well, 4kw is pretty much the biggest for most domestic set-ups. I can see why the rack full of Foxconns makes a lot of sense now. Heat output is starting to become an issue for me as things warm up. I am having to run air con to cool things down which is becoming very expensive! Will be starting to ramp things down soon.

Will be starting to ramp things down soon. I use Mitsubishi Lossnay heat exchangers to heat the office in the winter and benefit from free air precooling in the summer because it's rare that temperatures in the UK climb much above 25 deg C with the summer average being 19.. and all controlled by a wonderful little PI 3 and Z-Wave---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by reduk at Mar 8, 2017 6:52:51 AM] |

Good Morning All.
----------------------------------------Thanks Tom for your congratulations on the results milestone. I have actually been higher than 1000 but slipped back for a while. Since I cleaned my iMac my performance has leaped so I expect to maintain this level in future (fingers crossed!). As you know I am hoping to overtake Mike D Green in the team rankings before you overtake me - it will be a close run thing!
