Yes, it snowed on Saturday, which is the first time it's snowed on my birthday since biblical times. Didn't last long though. Guinea pigs are good for keeping the grass down. Aren't they indigenous in Bolivia, or am I thinking of Peru, where they eat them, don't they? Maybe you could train them. Y I watched a programme on TV yesterday about food/cooking in Bolivia. It seemed to mainly feature coca leaves and spectacular scenery. Good Morning All Dave I have never seen a wild or a tame Guinea Pig here in Bolivia unless you count the hog sized Capybara. They do eat them in Peru but I don't think it is on the Bolivian food list. Coca is a way of life here - most of the labourers can be seen with a 'bolo' in their cheeks as they claim it lets them work harder and stay alert longer (be alert - your country needs lerts). They mash it together with bicarb which apparently extracts more of the goodness(?). There are about 50 different varieties of potatoes here and along with the omnipresent beef and pork plus a raft of veggies that you don't see in Sainsburys, the food is pretty good - the scenery as you say is spectacular.

So do you have to present your dissertation via a WordPress site, Brad94, or is it written entirely using AngularJS? I find it hard to believe that it could possibly be written using plain English. ![]()

Yeah, the guy on the telly mentioned the potatoes, some of which look nothing like potatoes. I would imagine spit-roast capybara would probably taste OK, in a bun with ketchup and coca leaves.

Good morning everyone. It looks like the team is going to hit 3.5 billion points on Friday. That's a lot of crunching!

Good morning everyone.
Brad It is good to see that traditions are being kept, finish and hand in dissertation, go to pub / home brew and get thoroughly rat-*rsed. ![]() |

Good Morning All,
----------------------------------------I'm waiting for the irrigation man again. Pulled the pump from the well (18 metres down) and was shocked with the state of it (carbonated up with a crusty orange deposit). Looks like my little perforations in the well bore will need a clean too as the pump is pulling water faster than it is entering the bore. Not sure how to do that (but someone here will know - for a price!). We've had a little rain for a couple of days so the garden isn't suffering yet.
