Good morning team,
----------------------------------------My workstations are having a little break from 3D rendering and are working their way through a backlog of work units as we speak!

Good Morning All
----------------------------------------Ah well Brad94 back to the day job (Retired) - Detective work is obviously not for me. DC - Alchemy is making Gold out of base metals so I guess that if I had worked in the highly profitable metal refining industry (which I didn't) then Alchemist might be a true title. Most people say that 'Comical Engineer' suits me better as in my student days I played guitar in quite a few folk clubs but my act degenerated into stand up comic. The principal difference between my musical ability and Radox bath salts is that Radox Bucks up the Feet .

dcrobinson Shoot! What website/search engine did you find me on! I was sure I couldn't be found. You're good! What languages do you write in and areas do you work in as a SE?

It sounds like you could have been the next (or rather first) Jasper Carrot or Billy Connolly.

dcrobinson Shoot! What website/search engine did you find me on! I was sure I couldn't be found. You're good! What languages do you write in and areas do you work in as a SE? Lucky guess. There are a limited number of establishments that offer courses with that name, Brad94 implies the name Bradley (or similar), born in 94, which indicates it's a probably a post graduate MSC course? 200 miles south of Bradford narrows it down further, and then a Google search including "-bradford" to eliminate some of the chaff pointed to your LinkedIn profile I work for a small company that sells network guards (security appliances), mainly to customers who are really serious about security. I've worked on all sorts of systems over the last 30 years, from merchant banking to missiles. Currently it's C++, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS... all of which fairly badly. A bit of a jack of all trades, software speaking. My Team UK stats website uses Java, JavaScript (please don't look at the page source!!), SQL (MariaDB) and XML.

Very nice indeed, I thought I was pretty much covered to be honest! Still an undergrad right now, got a few week weeks left on my BSc.
----------------------------------------That sounds pretty cool! Wide variety of projects then. Java is the worst language for me, I should use it more but every time I look at it I want to run a mile!

Well done Thargor, An impressive achievement. Welcome to team UK Brad94. Wife out of hospital and doing fine. She had a shot of morphine while there and really enjoyed it. :) Glad to hear your wife's back home. Does this spell in hospital get her nearer the top of the list for surgery? I don't think you're supposed to enjoy morphine! Weird dreams, so I'm told.

Thanks DC,
----------------------------------------Unfortunately she is at the bottom of the list for now, hopefully she will not have another episode. The morphine completely took away her pain and she did have weird dreams. I take morphine everyday but in much lower amounts than she had, I don't get too many weird dreams but there are other side effects which are much worse like increased apathy and poor short term memory. There are more but I can't be bothered typing them out ;) ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Darkmatter.NI at Apr 11, 2016 10:49:11 PM] |
