Bring the list up on the screen and click on their links, one by one

My member number is 95xxx so not on there. Did though start on HPF1 on Nov.16, 2004 when WCG was launched, at the wrong grid, which I will forever regret. not talking

But, there's a sorted list, exported each day for BOINCStats and the like... a little skilled Excelling and you could be in the know quite soon. File size, compressed: 26M http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/stats/

edit: Of course you need 2 days of that file and run a differential to find out who's still contributing today. Given the retention %, don't think it will be more than 500.

While you of course can click on every single of the 5000 members to find out, you'll save a lot of time by using BoincStats.

What you'll need to do is, search for a person on the top-5000-list, and see if he shows-up on BoincStats. Now, unfortunately many never made it to BOINC, so not everyone show-up. If doesn't show-up, try another on the same signup-date, until you find someone.

If you've found someone, look on the users personal stats, verify it's the correct signup-date, and click on the "Position in 'sign-up date' stats", and here you can easily sort by example "last month", to find-out how many is still active.

Example, for 16.11.2004, of the 1575 registered (or rather the 1575 what's returned a single BOINC-result for WCG), where's 431 active last month.

So, by this single search, you've already cut-down from needing to look on 5000 individual users, to maybe 3000 - 3400.

edit - apparently where's much more users registered on the 16., so you've got less than 500 others to look for.
