I'm not from day one, but I do consider myself as one of the beginners with WCG. Unfortunately, I haven't been a consistent cruncher through out the years, but have tried to make up for that in the last 4-5 years.

I started out with a mixture of SETI, UD, and distributed.net back when I was still in Uni (1996-2000), can't remember when I specifically ran each project but unfortunately, after leaving Uni, trying to get a job kind of pushed grid-computing to the back of my mind, and the thoughts of it only re-surfaced recently after an extended illness in the family, so I definitely wasn't here for day #1 of WCG.

I ran SETI till September of 2005. So I was a year late lmao but still lurking today. Gratz to you first 5000 still crunching away.

11 on just the BOINC results maybe - we ran UD's agent for at least the first project over here at WCG - I can't remember exactly ..it's been a while

i did a bunch of UD and some aliens. Stayed on UD too long:(

Well, it was Nov. 16th, my local time when I joined. BladeD, The same thing happened to me. I joined as soon as I got home from work on 11/16. Even though it was a little after 8pm, it was already 11/17 UTC by then. My join date to the left of this of this post says Joined: Nov 16, 2004. My local IBM marketing rep. told me WCG was starting on the 16th. Being "left coast" time zone challenged, I was a few hours behind and was the 1,200th and something to join. Hard to believe it has been 10 years.
