Re: Server Errors.

Just checked my client_state.xml and it DOES have the new url for the scheduler. So if anyone was wondering if that url change caused, or has anything to do with, this, that doesn't seem to be the case.

Re: Server Errors.

We have a thread open in the Known Issues forum. For clarity sake I have posted a new message at the bottom to be clear that the problem is intermittent and ongoing.

https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,33481

We are working with Red Hat and and IBM internal support group for GPFS to find out what is going on. There haven't been many updates because while there have been theories and things we are testing with them, we haven't resolved the issue. Please know that this is our top concern.

Thanks for the update Keith.

It really looks like an issue with the GPFS update a while ago, as that is when those weird upload problems started to creep up, which wasn't the case at least in the previous 12-14 month since I have started to crunch on WCG.

And even with a late reply/update, you guys are still magnitudes faster than the techs/admins on a lot of other projects. Still appreciated at least on this side of the screen... cool

Re: Server Errors.

Well, due to this inability to upload completed WU's, I've now got three WU's that have gone 'No Reply'... I hope that I'll be able to get them back before the repair WU's are completed and returned...

Edit: Finally managed to get them transferred - okay, one's now in PVal whilst the other two are in PVer, but at least they're back home...

Re: Server Errors.

My Sync-report (all CFSW-WUs, asOf_2012.07.24Tu.2050.utc)
Ubu-machine >
1. Uploaded-WUs: 213
2. Downloaded-WUs: 17
3. Stuck-upload: 3
4. Stuck-download: 1

My bumpiest WCG-sync ride thus far: slow, and riddled with error messages of various kinds. sad

Win-machine > somewhat less rough a ride than the Ubu-machine.

The rough ride ended, finally. Same thing come next sync-round 24hrs or so later? I hope not !
