For the trivia-minded out there, we passed the 200,000,000 mark yesterday (Thursday).

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 57 smilesmile

Keith,
I understand your frustration with our government. I would dare say that is the view of a majority of Americans. The of the people by the people and for the people has been replaced with of the politicians by the politicians and for the politicians ( and their minions.) The paries of old, both Democratic and Republican are not the parties of Kennedy and Reagan any more. What used to be worked out for the mutual benefit of all is now my way or the highway. There have even been posts in here and other team threads that leave me scratching my head. We are so divided that I fear our future may disolve into chaos and 1776 will be revisited again. I hope it doesn't come to that but it could if things don't change and change quickly. Just my $.02

My frustration is not with government. It's with the human race. We're becoming a petty, egocentric, ignorant lot, at least, those of us who bother to make themselves heard. The media makes it worse. Look at Fox - they're about as objective as a teenage boy in a ****house - and that's nothing unique. It's not that any of them really are intentionally biased. They're just doing what any good capitalistic business does - maxing their profit. Objectivity sells with the enthusiasm of hemmaroid cream. Talk radio, call in shows, comment sections at the end of stories on news websites - they're all meant to stroke our egos and get us hooked on our overblown sense of self-importance. (Guess that includes forums too laughing ) If you're right about the polarization, it won't be 1776, it'll be 1861 - provided we don't go broke first. You know, you see/hear/read about all these surveys they do to get our opinions but guess what! I've never been part of one of those. Okay, so they supposedly call some randomly selected person. What's really going to happen if they get one of us? If we're in a good mood, we hear "we'd like to ask you a few questions" and say "No thanks" and hang up. If our mood is not so good, they're lucky if we just hang up on them. So who do they end up getting any response from? Take a guess! It's time us ordinary, regular, sensible Jane's and Joe's make ourselves heard. We need to let Washington and Wall Street and Parliment and so on know we believe in a government that is about "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" and things like the "common defense" and not about acting like Wilma Flintstone and Betty Rubble running out of the house with cards in hand yelling "CHARGE IT!!!"

Dang - get a load of me - and I took my meds today too!

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 57 smilesmile

WCG has been having quite a bit of trouble lately that has kept WUs from getting validated on a timely basis. You can see its impact on our totals for today. We'll see better numbers tomorrow if these problems stay resolved. I'm sure they're just as tired of fixing them as we are of having them.

coffee coffee coffeeGood Sunday Morning Teamcoffee coffee coffee

Congratulations Judson! applause

Looks like WCG caught up quite a bit on the validation by this mornings processing. So whatever the problem was.... it seems likely to be a big points day today as Keith said.

Have a goodin! smile
