Was just curious to know if there will some kind of announcment in advance before the GPU beta begins so we can get prepared.

That's optimistic ;P --//-- Yes, historically the announcement comes concurrent to or immediately after results are releasing. Keep in mind that this will be an extended test run. There will be more than enough time to get in and participate. At worst, you might lose a few hours at the start. Distributed computing volunteer since September 27, 2000 |

Somehow, methinks you'll need to be waiting for a reasonable amount of time - after all, by the sounds of it, they've still got quite a few issues outstanding from this latest system upgrade (as well as getting everything 'back to normal' - i.e., re-enabling the reliability ratings etc). Then there's that file system upgrade that they've posponed until next week, still to do. Finally, there's still the 'Particpate in GPU Beta testing' option to add... No doubt, there's also quite a few other things that need to be done before we get to the stage of a GPU Beta test...
----------------------------------------Basically, it'll come when it's ready - and not before... |

Finally, there's still the 'Particpate in GPU Beta testing' option to add.. I'm unable to see why this is needed! "Patience is a virtue", I can't wait to learn it! |

It is, because you don't want the Beta general opted to receive GPU beta unannounced. On all counts active opt-in.

Thanks for GPU beta "opt in" decision. I have the box checked for GPU; but right now, no more betas. I have all I can deal with running Rom's VM test project.
