Rob - you will find them labelled 'in-progress' on the result page. The next time your client connects it should be sent them again. A bad update command was run that put the results into a bad state.

We are not turning on validation yet. There are some odd cpu time and claimed credit values being reported/generated. We need to resolve that first before we turn those on.

At a loss how after the acknowledges were logged [the feedback from the server to the client], how this worked, but anyhow, they had gone from the tasks view in the manager, yet here they went again:

I had a few machines do it too Sek, so it wasn't just a client version. ( or at least I don't believe.) I saw it happen on 6.10.60 and 6.12.34. While the feeder was temporarily back up (yes I had about 4 machines get work) I saw this happen. I might have had a machine or two that are borged also get work, but I think that really is irrelevant.

Both machines I've set up on my "school" profile ("Help Conquer Cancer" and "If my computer can process work on my graphics card..." checked) are now crunching WUs from my "work" profile (Say No to Schistosoma only)

Am I missing something? Apparently there is no way to turn off CPU processing and accept only GPU processing as is done with other projects like Einstein and Milkyway GPU processing. ![]() Why would you want to do that? ![]() I'll look at putting that option in. The <no_cpu> tag exists on the BOINC side, we just need enable via our website and test. Kevin...could you also make it where you could choose which projects use GPU's? Other projects do this and if WCG takes on GPU projects in the future, some may want to support one project but not another. I know HCC will be first to get GPU, but I have a feeling we will see others in the future. Right now the option looks to be all or nothing. The My Projects/Device Profiles user-interfaces need a good going over. As the options get more complex (as if they aren't already complex) we will take a look how to streamline the interface and make it more flexible AND make it not intimidating to someone who has no idea what a GPU is. Kevin, just so I'm clear...if I check to receive GPU work but don't have HCC selected, will I still get the GPU work or will I need to also select HCC? I would think that I could elect out of CPU work by not having it checked and still get GPU, but wanted to make sure that is how WCG actually has it set up in the coding. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

My reading of prior responses and the option itself is that you'll only get GPU work for the researches you've selected i.e. no HCC selected, no GPU version pf tasks send, when available. |

knreed, I have 38_SN2S_doneWUs, and enough not-yet-crunched_WUs in my buffer to last for about 2-days. If it would help things, I can defer synch with the servers. Please advice.
------------------------------------------------------------------- Update1: I guess I will have to defer the synch-up with the WCG server. ; ; edit1: 2012.03.07We.0522.utc > Inserted Update1. ; [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Mar 7, 2012 5:22:33 AM] |

A bad update command was run that put the results into a bad state. Kevin, As what you responded in the "New Problem" thread of Mathilde2006, all tasks after the second resend have remained lost. The second device which did not have this lost/resent sequence have their Pending Validation show up and a few later reports from the device of which those 12 got ''lost'' have also shown up in proper.
