What I can agree to is that there is no ready-to-do-business machine. One day there may be; or it may be one of the biggest scientific hoaxes. We cannot tell as of yet. Really? The public cannot discern if it even promising research. By suggesting that five research projects make it
harder and harder in this Web-based world to make scams so elaborate of itself suggests that you may not know about the Internet. The entire Anti Global Warning lobby would be dead without the Internet along with the "all gays have Aids", the "end of the world on Dec 21, 2012" and the "only old white, Christian men have good ideas" hoaxes. To suggest that US Senators are getting interested makes me lean toward the 'biggest hoax' theory. Senators were fully convinced about Iraq's WMD (a hoax if you hadn't heard) and the many benefits of sub-prime mortgages. These are not credible references and most of them know diddly-squat about science. As for me, I am going to wait for the UL Laboratories sticker and the Consumer Reports review. By saying wait, I mean ignore the issue. You want me to get serious? Seriously, I do not believe any of it. I mean that seriously. I may be proven wrong some day. but until proven wrong I am going to stick with what I learned from my many Physics and Chemistry teachers and professors. all learned experts on their own. |

I understand the skeptic views expressed here and I am not against them even if I don't understand why the tough opposition that comes from them.
----------------------------------------First of all, this is a thread that sums up the new developments in LENR field (so my personal beliefs about LENR does not matter in this thread). This thread deals with what many parties involved in LENR field are saying now to the public through: conferences, YouTube movies, interviews, press releases, etc. Right now, about 3-4 of these scientists are saying that they will release a product by end of year 2012. Other 5-6 parties are saying they are close to a product. Either you choose to take the news with a grain of salt or be enthusiast about it is everybody personal choice. But there is a wealth of evidence that points out that this indeed might happen. Right now in WCG Forum there is no serious LENR thread. I filled that void as this is a too big issue to avoid in any scientific forums. WCG takes pride in new ideas and new research some of them energy related, so it is a good place to get this info in one short package. There is a hope that LENR is filling and this hope is good for people that are naturally hopeful like the majority of WCG contributors. So I will continue to insert these important news like the ones bellow: A new player (the 4th) in commercial Cold Fusion field. New Video regarding Francesco Piantelly's - NICKENERGY company: Highlights: 1.Commercialization within a few months 2. Experiments running “many months” on almost no input power with high excess heat production. See at 12-13 minute mark. 3. Clear, unequivocal proof that LENR is a real phenomena with commercial applications. http://vimeo.com/41901025 News and updates about the Industrial E-CAT 1 MegaWatt Cold Fusion Plant and the Home Unit 10 KiloWatts E-Cat Cold Fusion device: http://ecat.com/news/news-update-from-andrea-rossi-and-ecat-com-in-may And some people are right when they say all skepticism will be over when these devices are on the market. I hope this will happen by the end of the year. Competition has a way of speeding things up. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 8 times, last edit by damir1978 at May 15, 2012 12:52:22 AM] |

Nobel prize winner Brian Josephson on Meeting With Andrea Rossi.
----------------------------------------Although this is not new development regarding LENR research, it is certainly of interest for people that want reassurance from some old academia regarding Rossi or E-CAT. Check the link bellow for a report written by Brian Josephson, retired professor of physics at Cambridge University, and 1973 Nobel prize winner for physics, about Andrea Rossi. The meeting happened close to or on May 11th 2012. It is always reassuring to get views from important people from the history of science regarding modern scientists, that sometimes are "too modern" for some people's taste and jump the old academia rules to get faster results for us. http://www.e-catworld.com/2012/05/brian-josephson-on-meeting-with-andrea-rossi/ ---------------------------------------- [Edit 6 times, last edit by damir1978 at May 15, 2012 4:44:11 AM] |

Very important high profile development in LENR/Cold Fusion emerging industry:
----------------------------------------TechConnect WORLD "The TechConnect World is the world's largest multi-disciplinary multi-sector conference and marketplace of vetted innovations, innovators and technology business developers and funders. The TechConnect World houses four world-class technical events focused on advancements in Nanotech, Microtech, Biotech, Cleantech and the technology overlap between these converging domains. As technologies commercially mature from the purely research stage, they are advanced into the TechConnect Summit and partnering programs in which IP and Early-stage companies are reviewed and selected by our board of corporate and investment partners." http://www.techconnectworld.com/Nanotech2012/a.html?i=40168 George Miley’s LENUCO WILL BRING LENR in attention of "BIG POCKETS" DECISION MAKERS so they can create the LENR emerging INDUSTRY: "The discovery of practical applications of low energy nuclear reactions has created much activity and interest worldwide. Our approach using hydrogen loaded nanoparticles to produce heat that is converted to electrical output offers many advantages over others. Lenuco was founded to commercialize this technology and has a 2 pronged business model. One prong is to develop the technology for use by NASA to replace pu-238 radioactive power sources in future space probes. The second prong is to provide small to medium range distributed power source for home and industrial use. Both uses capitalize on the high power density and low maintenance, radiation free, long lifetime characteristics of LENR power cells. " With 5 Companies (Leonardo Comp. - E-CAT, Defkalion, Brillouin, NickEnergy, LENUCO, and many more to come) that talk about industrial and home products using Cold Fusion, LENR is moving slowly but surely from LAB to MAINSTREAM INDUSTRY. Dr. Miley will also be presenting at the World Green Energy Symposium (ICCF-17) in August 2012 http://cfeis.com/Conferences.html ---------------------------------------- [Edit 8 times, last edit by damir1978 at May 16, 2012 7:20:37 PM] |

What I read was 2 guys sitting in lawn chairs having a beer and discussing a theory. No proof. No scientific study. No drawings or diagrams. No analysis. No cause and effect. No graphs and charts. No weights and measures. The actual result: Two empty beer bottles |

Can you say that you have a bottle like that sitting close to yours? :-) |

Production is according to Rossi planned to start next winter or at least within 18 months, and a million units should be manufactured per year. There goes 2012. ![]() Let's not split the hair about production. According to Rossi, the ECAT1 MW Plant is AVAILABLE NOW: "The ECAT 1 MW Plant is available for pre-ordering now with an estimated delivery time of 3 months. The first generation of ECAT Home products will be available in 2013." http://ecat.com/ecat-questions/when-will-the-ecat-be-available Do you have 1.5$ million to check on that? http://ecat.com/news/news-update-from-andrea-rossi-and-ecat-com-in-may Between Rossi, Defkalion, Brillouin, NickEnergy and LENUCO, the commercialization of Cold Fusion will start either end of 2012 or early 2013. What is important for everybody is to have irrefutable proof of a working (and feasible) Cold fusion device (and they promised on that for 2012). After that, who really cares on how many per year or WHEN EXACTLY they will be available at your closest Wal-Mart. And Rossi promised List of Licensees after October 2012 (about 20 of them). After that the licensees should be available to answer about E-cat. They all saw it in action and test it. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 5 times, last edit by damir1978 at May 17, 2012 1:21:50 PM] |

Let's not split the hair about production. No, No, No. 2012 or not 2012? That is not a hair. Which is it? Right now there are 2 commercial cold fusion products that will hit 2012: or is itE-CAT: 10KW - Home Unit - Coming to Home Depot end of year (2012) Cost: between 800$-1500$ Recharge fuel every 6 month with 10$ cartridge (mainly Nickel powder inside) HYPERION 45KW Commercial - Home Unit - Going trough certifications and going for 2012 release. Production is according to Rossi planned to start next winter or at least within 18 months, and a million units should be manufactured per year. There goes 2012. ![]() |

Yes Astrolabe... but one of the beer bottles is from a Nobel Prize Winner. I shook the hand of John F Kennedy. That doesn't mean that communism is defeatedCan you say that you have a bottle like that sitting close to yours? :-) |
