A good summary of the LENR (Cold Fusion) field as it is now: Let me summarize the article, by extracting the most important points from the article, for the casual reader:http://www.lenrnews.eu/lenr-summary-for-policy-makers/ Those causes account for most failures which have convinced the community that did not work (sic). Among the most tested experiments, and despite a better understanding, there is an erratic success rate. For twenty years the results , compelling, sometimes huge, but erratic and unusable, discouraged research in this area. All this gives a disastrous image and character's (Rossi's) credibility is reduced to zero, the faster he talks a lot. (sic) the fact that this phenomenon has not been reproduced by others may leave us skeptical. When Fleischmann has been lynched by the scientific community, he was hired by Toyota. The results were not very interesting. (sic) Alchemy at best. |

It amazes me that this parody of a discussion is still going.

I see it like this,
----------------------------------------The forbes article was interesting with to me the most relevent part being something like 'this is either the most elaborate hoax in scientific history, or one of the biggest advances.' I'm leaning (practically falling) on the hoax side, but you never know he might have antigrav working too Lots of science is or at least was accidental. Someday someone is going to come up with something way out of the box. ![]() |

Lots of science is or at least was accidental. Someday someone is going to come up with something way out of the box. You never know Jack007. Maybe that someone is Rossi or Defkalion... Here is theoretical physicist Professor Yeong E Kim of Purdue University reporting on his recent visit to Defkalion, witnessing positive Defkalion test: http://egooutpeters.blogspot.ro/2013/06/a-veterans-voice.html “Recently, I had an opportunity to observe experimental runs of DGTG’s R-5 reactor carried out by their group of scientists in Vancouver. The results were positive. More importantly the results are reproducible, since there had been many positive runs with other observers so far in addition to my observation. This is very significant historically since we have now a device which yields reproducible results for the first time. It is a break-through which we have been waiting for. The break-through is accomplished by new comers, new breed of scientists and engineers lead by a mathematician who became an excellent scientist. This is a new wave and new paradigm change.” ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by damir1978 at Jun 9, 2013 1:54:27 PM] |

It amazes me that this parody of a discussion is still going. KWSN - A Shrubbery , this is not a discussion. LENR is a scientific field where hundreds of scientists progress with their work. I just update you on some of them. Big difference from just a discussion. Astrolabe, your small input is biased, obsolete (23+ years old), ignoring a mountain of recent data and interesting developments from many scientist and institutions. Then again, I did not expected less from you. Keep it up. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by damir1978 at Jun 9, 2013 1:54:04 PM] |

Here's discussion and quote from the NASA-LENR site, 3 months ago, to include from the person who the LENR peddlers like to misrepresent:
----------------------------------------It's worth repeating what Zawodny wrote in this comments section: "While I personally find sufficient demonstration that LENR effects warrant further investigation, I remain skeptical. Furthermore, I am unaware of any clear and convincing demonstrations of any viable commercial device producing useful amounts of net energy. Joe Zawodny" I would go further and state that Rossi and Defkalion *clearly* appear to be scams to cheat investors and distributors (for many reasons which I have detailed elsewhere) and that neither one has ever properly demonstrated any cold fusion or given any information about the identity of customers. Both promise independent test results by certain dates and either the dates come and go without results or the few tests they report are not done by reliable and credible sources and in appropriate ways. The field is full of non-credible contributors. Nanospire's claims are simply crazy and unsubstantiated. Brillouin's replication by SRI is missing in action. Soon maybe? And McKubre gave credence to something as idiotic as Papp's engine so he's not credible anyway. Hagelstein and Swartz seem to be mis-measuring tiny amounts of energy. Miley made huge claims, as Krivit notes, and produced no credible data and has done no demonstrations. Who is there left to believe? Meanwhile Mills has been making promises for what now ... 20 years? Where are the kilowatts he said he could make a decade ago? Widom-Larsen theory seems to be the current fashion but what experimental proof is there? None that I know of. And what do typical internet believers do? They rave on about things they clearly do not understand and they obsess over non-issues such as the identity and financial support sources of skeptics. Unfortunately, while there may be something to it, as Dr. Bushnell notes, the evidence favoring any near term (if ever) practical use for LENR phenomena is sadly lacking. Emphasis mine, and pretty strong opinion at that. The thread title requires revision. We're almost mid 2013, still no product, not retail, not industrial. edit: P.S. I've been unable to trace any CE certificate application for this technology. An ABSOLUTE must for the European Community. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 9, 2013 2:21:04 PM] |

With respect, SekeRob, the LENR genie is out of the bottle and you or anybody else cannot put it back. The fact is that there is way more activity in this field now and with players much more important than 20+ years ago. Also, the results are more promising now and with greater validation from many independent actors than ever before.
----------------------------------------Lets stand back and enjoy the ride, shall we? ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by damir1978 at Jun 9, 2013 2:27:21 PM] |

You keep ignoring the factual information: Yes there is a LENR phenomena, No, there is no useful application as yet! Plz do not come back until there is.

Yes there is a LENR phenomena, No, there is no useful application as yet! Plz do not come back until there is. In the world we are living now, unfortunately, there is a strong chance LENR useful application might never happen.
