Re: Intel 6-core machine crashing on V 6.10.34

Hi Jeanne,

At bottom of the My Grid > Device Manager > Device profile XYZ > Custom options, you can choose 1 [default] to 16 to be assigned per device at any one time, or unlimited. Many restrict their [CEP2] tuned profile to fetch these tasks for not more than half the cores when the cache is set very low, or zero [see other thread discussions]. I ran with 7 on a 1 day cache for a quad. This quasi auto regulated for there always to run 2 concurrently mixed with other sciences. The CEP2 cache backfill is with priority to first fetch a new CEP2 job when one has completed i.e. the scheduler tries to maximize the allowed contribution per device for CEP2 based on custom preferences.

edit: spell-check, yes, "backfill" is in Merriam-Websters :D
