Hi,
BOINC 6.11.4 is an extremely iffy, very alpha development client. Suggest to go to 6.10.58 official WCG supported [uninstall, install without loss of task and progress]. Did you recently add/attach an Account Manager System [AMS] to you client? Often this causes a conflict if WCG is not properly set up over at e.g. BOINCstats BAM. As for log file, yes like to get the full stdoutdae.txt file. You find it in the BOINC data directory [path printed at start of current message/event log view]. Upload it to Dropbox or similar and post link. Then we can try study what BOINC did and cause this. --//-- |

Not seeing anything that marks a detach. Got a timestamp where this happened. There seems to be huge download sessions. Are you computing offline at times, noting the occasional http upload error?
At any rate, plz go to stable client 6.10.58. Uninstall, reinstall is done in few minutes. --//-- |

I use a USB doogle (3G thing) and that might been unstable but it was still connected after the detachment. All I can see from the log was there were some server problems prior to the "incident". OK, will revert to old version.

Surprisingly, found that the USB stick performed better with Fat32 and 2K sectors than NTFS. Done it for a while [a readyboost fit drive], but just got 2 or 3 times more errors running the datadir only from the USB. And, particularly under Linux I'm getting the random poof disappearance of USB devices. Then there's the divorce of BOINC in memory and the data on an unreachable storage. Given BOINC does not write the client_state.xml continuously from memory to store, there's with non-fixed storage a greater risk of loosing something I'd figure.
