Hi there folks! Welcome to our new paper. I never can seem to resist starting a new year with new paper it seems. We had a tremendous 2011. December was our best month yet (with and without nanoprobe's great contribution)! I admit that I am tempted to set our 2012 goal at half a billion points (that would be 45 percent above 2011) but I'm not sure that's our best objective. We'll have a great year but we have challenges facing us. More importantly, I want your input! What do you think MOT should go after in 2012? It isn't necessarily points either. This is not a time to lurk. Speak up please!Well, except for RT's response, I've gotten a resounding silence on this. I have to admit that bothered be some at first but I'm okay with it now. I'm just going to take it as is and we'll just take this year off with respect to any goals or objectives. A break could in fact be a good thing. Captain Keith did you say sumptin??Dont you know we love you And we aint taken offen no years---my goal is to work me a-er butt off and get another cruncher--so there TAKE that :) You dont want me comin down to Georgia!! ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by GeraldRube at Jan 10, 2012 12:21:30 PM] |

Good afternoon Team Little late today. My morning started about 5:30. Did some work then went to see the Dr. I guess I am going to have them replace my left knee. . Not something I am looking forward to but better (hopefully) than the alternative. Then off to see the people of Walmart, then lunch and finally back home.Hey Judson, long time no hear. Everyone have a great day today. One of your friends in Texas ![]() |

Folks, if you haven't seen Extended BOINC Server Outage Planned from 21:...through 8:00 UTC Jan 14th, check it out! It's just 10.5 hours but you may want to make sure your crunchers will have enough work to get through it. Also, you may want to consider forcing an update to WCG on your crunchers shortly before the outage starts.

I just obtained a BRG precision time clock. It has an alpha display for the month and the day of the week as well as a numeric display for the day of the month, the current time and the zulu time.
----------------------------------------It was broken, so I had to fix it. In the process of fixing it, I did a factory reset. Then I tried to set it, and that's where the trouble began. These clocks don't have an hour, min, day, etc. button on them, they have a mode button. It has 75 modes, and some of those modes have about 100 sub-modes. I finally gave up after screwing this thing up, royaly. I downloaded the instructions to set (actually configure) the clock and had to sift through 156 pages. My clock has five displays, and you have to configure each display. Of course, you have to figure out what number each display is so you can configure it. That only took about 4 hours. It took me two days of messing around with setting it (after work days), but in finally got it. All I can say is, if you want a precision time clock, BRG makes some very nice ones. And never, NEVER, do a factory reset on them! But now I have a very cool clock, with 4" LED's hanging on the wall. I can see what time it is from three counties away! LOL
