OK 5 days have passed and I stil don;t seem to be doing anything - at least the PC isn't !! The splash screen says it's going into WCG operation but the machine doesn't seem to be processing anything.

Well, did you do anything following my last 2 posts? It is nice to give feedback.
The T4T project [non-WCG] requires a special setup and really don't know what if any work you succeeded to get done with them. If you did not, detach from that project, then try later when you got WCG running again. As for local preferences, suggest to hit the Clear button: Advanced menu > Local [Computing] Prefs > Clear. Then we know that only the website profile is in effect. --//-- |

Interesting discussion. I've just added (Dec. 18, 2011) the two CERN projects to my BOINC Manager which has been running the WCG project since last February. All three of my projects are working well. The "Preferences for this project" option at CERN allows me to keep WCG at 93 to 100% CPU and both T4T and LHC at 4% each.
----------------------------------------Good luck with your configuration. It's worth the effort. ![]() |

I got an e-mail , the same one as him, but my computer is working on the grid, so really I don“t know what might be wrong.

Neither ambodach nor barherz have contributed any results to WCG(or any other project that I can find) on those usernames.

I've dumped the lot - tried all the suggestions but nothing was working, so it's all in the bin now - sorry, but bye-bye.

I don't want to get involved in a discussion on this as I am now satisfied that there are faults with the software.
It is clear that it never did any work on my machine, despite logging in when the machine wasn't being used. I did all the instructions given here with no result. I then decided to take all the software off my machine and was told somewhere on the system that un-install would be performed through the Windows control panel. That did not log the software, nor did CC Cleaner and I had to a folder delete and then clean the register. Not satisfactory. Rob |

Sounds like you had a really bad install.
