Anyway, my electric bill needs the relief. I feel your pain. I can't do another summer like this one. I will probably be powering down next summer if things don't change. Watched 60 minutes yesterday and they spoke with CEO of GE and how they had stuck with solar panel production despite so many other companies going belly up. Those big multinational companies need tax write offs somewhere. ![]() The reason is GE is in the tank with obama ![]() |

Actually, it's because they can't "manage" their quarterly results with their GE Capital division like they did up until the financial crisis hit. GE had a long history of meeting their projected quarterly earnings. Wall Street loves that sort of thing and it made Welch a hero. Immelt is getting more criticism as a CEO but the board has no inclination to push him out because GE is not really doing much worse that before and the board knows that all too well. They just can't "manage" the numbers like they use to.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Monday Morning and all is well...well sorta. We are all happy despite the cloud cover; it is like Seattle here today. ![]() On a lark, I went to the Sungevity site and ask for a quote. I am sure that they will send me a "Hey Stupid" note but who knows..perhaps there is some little known program for Texas and it will get relayed. Anyway, my electric bill needs the relief. ![]() We need additional members! ![]() Everyone have a great day. ![]() Did a little quick googling. For you guys in Texas, have a look at http://solarpowerrocks.com/texas/ and see if that helps. Doesn't look like there's the lease set-up Sungevity does in CA but there appear to be incentives (state and federal) that can cut the cost of buying a system by over half. Looks like they have a link where you can get bids to go solar or have an expert evaluate your home for solar for free. Have no idea how good this site is but feel free to Google Texas Solar Power or Texas Solar Incentives. |

Thanks KeithHenry. Yes I own GE stock and watched it go every way but up! Did buy a lot when every one thought the world was going to end so still doing well! I figured if the world ended what use would money be anyway so has paid off some. Finally have my machine in sinc as of today after the power outage with the lightening Saturday! Lots of huffing and puffing for .14 inches! Better then none, I guess. I do agree Nanoprobe. A friend was telling me about his friends company that drilled dry hole oilmwells for such a reason and then markets them to the Dow companies that needed a write off!

Watched 60 minutes yesterday and they spoke with CEO of GE and how they had stuck with solar panel production despite so many other companies going belly up. You are correct. There have been many solar companies go out of business. GE is in bed with this administration. They are going to be building the jet engines that power our fighters, in China. That's not even legal! It appears the trick is, not to accept government assistance. I'm not sure of the ties that the government places on that assistance, but it also appears to be the death straw. All of the companies, like Sungevity, that have not accepted government assistance have thrived. Those that did are no longer in business. Weird. They call it the Obama Kiss of Death. With the government running the justice system, and the government being as corrupt as they are, I'm not expecting any justice in all of this. Eric Holder and Obama should be in prison for "Fast and Furious." But.... We aren't supposed to be talking about politics here....

Hmm, that site is getting interesting. http://solarpowerrocks.com/virginia/ has info about some TVA program that can get you close to $200 a month but it looks like solar in Virginia will cost you about the same as a nice new car.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() .... For you guys in Texas, have a look at http://solarpowerrocks.com/texas/ and see if that helps. Doesn't look like there's the lease set-up Sungevity does in CA but there appear to be incentives (state and federal) that can cut the cost of buying a system by over half........... Looking around at all that stuff just reeks of flimflam. I hope that Sungevity will send me a direction that looks promising. With the government running the justice system, and the government being as corrupt as they are, I'm not expecting any justice in all of this. It sees that the old saying "If you dance with the devil, you get burned" might apply here. I so long for the days when government was much much much smaller, less invasive and more trustworthy.Changing Subject - too depressing .. Like the old Irish saying "Hooray Anyway" ![]() Looks like my Texas Rangers are doing well again even if my Dallas Cowboys are reflecting the true character of the owner (with Al gone, Jerry is now king of the jerks) and the Dallas Mavericks may not get to play basketball this year...along with the rest of the NBA (Isn't greed wonderful?). Sometimes when I read what I have written I think people will labor under the misconception that I am a grumpy old man; that could not be right could it? ![]() Oh well... we have the love of our families, the relatively clean air and water of Texas, some decent food and wine so things could be a LOT worse. Everyone have the best day possible. ![]() One of your friends in Texas. |
