Wow! This is a first.
----------------------------------------Cranked up the Abacus for an evening of crunching and this is what i got: 6/8/2012 6:16:08 PM | World Community Grid | work fetch resumed by user 6/8/2012 6:16:09 PM | World Community Grid | update requested by user 6/8/2012 6:16:14 PM | World Community Grid | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. 6/8/2012 6:16:14 PM | World Community Grid | Requesting new tasks for CPU 6/8/2012 6:16:19 PM | World Community Grid | Scheduler request completed: got 71 new tasks 6/8/2012 6:16:21 PM | World Community Grid | Started download of wcgrid_cfsw_baygame_6.11_windows_intelx86 etc for 71 items All tasks have an Estimated time of 00:29:11, where they are normally 4+ hours on my machine (ps: DCF = 1.0002 so the time estimate seems accurate) haven't seen anything in the forums to predict this. ![]() edit: RCC had this to say yesterday: Picked up 9 Betas for CFSW. They can't be very big as the estimated time on an i7 is 00:33:23. These aren't Beta's, but must be related. edit: The trick is to read all the forums: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,33271 World Community Grid is pleased to announce that we have optimized the performance of the Computing for Sustainable Water research application. Using the optimized version of the application, a work unit will run in a quarter of the time it took originally while maintaining the data integrity. All better now! Completion time is 01:06:00 or 1/4 previous times. ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by grumpygrampy at Jun 8, 2012 11:49:38 PM] |

There is no info on CFSW "days of tasks left" but there should be plenty of WUs
----------------------------------------http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q210/Sekerob/WCGYearsPi1Project.png I need about a year for sapphire but there are other projects I am running so CFSW will have to wait.

yea looks like lots of CFSW's left
----------------------------------------GFAM DSFL and SN2S are the ones that seem to have gotten super accelerated... so its going to be a watch and wait over the next week or 2 to figure out whats going to be next to end of the accelerated currently my guess is GFAM will be next out of those 4 projects... ![]() |
