Started getting C4SW in the 64 bit version - cfsw_4721_04721429_0 using cfsw version 612

These seem to run faster (on my Abacus) than the 32 bit version [ 0:56:37 vs 1:06:00 ] biggrin

The 64-bit CFSW is running about 5 minutes faster on an AMD quad running at 2.8GHz.
On or about 6/12 they made a change in the WUs which reduced the credits 50%+.
There was a problem with the accelerated WUs scoring incorrectly and fixing the problem made the score lower but more accurate.

I notice that there is a team named THE SURVIVORS at Folding@Home that was abandoned in 2008.

Does any of the team members run Folding@Home?
I'm thinking we can acquire that team name so that we could have a standard team name across BOINC.
That would combine stats for the projects.

Oh No! I barely know how to crunch, and now i gotta learn how to fold?

There's a tag on my Abacus (next to the one that says "Made In China") that says "Do not fold, spindle, or mutilate".

Is this a problem? sad

I don't do any folding at present either... Having a hard enough time just keeping afloat running WCG... maybe if I get my sapphire baged in everything I might think about expanding, but that's a way off yet.

No plans to do folding.
Just want to acquire the team name on BOINC.
Many of the other teams have a problem with duplicate names as each team on a project is independently named so potentially there could be a few dozen "the survivors" teams.
Since there is only one duplicate name and the team has been abandoned it seems like a good time to go for it.

It is now possible to control a team name for all of BOINC so administration would be easy.
Not that I am power hungry, or want to dominate BOINC.
Hmmm, maybe ......?
