Re: Welcome to the Drug Search for Leishmaniasis (DSFL) project

...sometimes the script for "automatically opt me into new projects" didn't always work for some members.
...
This time around, it appears to have worked perfectly...
But if you do not have "All Projects" checked (just individual ones), you must still check it manually.
No, I cannot confirm that. I am typically only running a few projects at a time, and still get successfully opted into new projects. Always! (It's been a few, heehee)
So, "all projects" by itself is (was?) not the problem.

Edit: You may be thinking about CEP2. That got excluded from auto-opt because it had special requirements on your hardware.

Re: Welcome to the Drug Search for Leishmaniasis (DSFL) project

There was a big stink some time ago about people getting opt'd in on projects without their knowledge or consent. I know of one case (not myself, I have the allow all checked for now) where this may have happened again. That's not cool.

Re: Welcome to the Drug Search for Leishmaniasis (DSFL) project

Glad to see this project going live. I had guessed the target when the beta tasks were released with the ASDT prefix (or whatever the acronym) Google turns up some amazingly relevant results, but I chose not to share my suspicions here as the admins/scientists had not made anything public.

A hearty welcome to the new science and scientists, may we all benefit.

Re: Welcome to the Drug Search for Leishmaniasis (DSFL) project

A new project to crunch! I was only 12 days out from sapphire on FAAH.
I had set my buckets to catch DDDT2 or Beta work and found 150 WUs of this new project.

Crunch On

Cheers coffee

Can you give us the user name that feels that they were auto-opted in but they thought they shouldn't have been?

The script looks at the application preferences for this tag:

<auto_opt_in>1</auto_opt_in>

If that is 1 - then the project is added. If it is 0 or not present, then the project is not added.

That tag corresponds to the profile option that is under the project list that states "Please opt me in to new projects as they become available.".

It does not matter whether or not a user has selected 'All Projects' or not. It is only the request to be opted into new projects that is checked.

Re: Welcome to the Drug Search for Leishmaniasis (DSFL) project

Knreed, I just checked with them and I misunderstood. They didn't get opted in automatically, they just found the project in their profile. I read it wrong. Sorry for the bother. My bad.

Re: Welcome to the Drug Search for Leishmaniasis (DSFL) project

Hi nanoprobe

Mine have jumped the queue as well

They are working in the same way as the C4CW's

I had HFCC's ticking along nicely with earlier due dates

All now waiting to run

Still great new project smile
