How's the solar panel install going, dtk?
----------------------------------------One of my friends just had his 11K system installed, and the power company won't let him run it until they come out and inspect the new power panel (it had to be upgraded to 250 amps). And the power company is taking its time going to inspect it - it's been over a month. He's getting pretty angry.

It's a little cloudy and under 100, actually 86!! Unfortunately, the rain west of us is burning off and will never get here, and we'll be back up to 100 tomorrow... Unrelated, my globe is no longer dark :-) We (my reliable thermometer) reached 99.4 yesterday. That is a bit better. We will see about today. Glad to hear about your globe. Living on a dark planet can be so depressing. Hi Dr Mike. Yes Keith, I am a bit cash poor at the moment but I will have to do something by Dec 30. I may just cash a bunch buy some solar panels and a windmill and build a swimming pool. Or just slide some into a Roth. Good problems to have I suppose. But it did not have to be this complicated/convoluted and parasitic. Hum... I don't understand what has been happening.... Seems the HCC queues ran dry there for a while...am watching every little bit. Anyone heard anything about it?  Good Morning Team |

Buy some solar panels? I had the choice of putting more money down to reduce my payments to Sungevity or to not put any money down and still get the same system size that was installed. I just thought that it would be more advantageous to put $7,500 down and pay only $42 a month to Sungevity. What I am trying to say is that you should not need any cash to have a solar panel system installed.

I am at the point where the panels and inverter have been installed, and the inspection by the county passed. The only thing remaining is for PG&E to do their inspection and put a new meter (?) on. The info I have says this may take up to 30 days. The installer said he had just completed a place not too distant from here so I don't expect the PG&E work to be delayed. |

Good Morning MOT Hope everyone is doing well. Congrats Dr. Mike. Miracle of miracles .... There it is... Water falling out of the sky!! It started about 6:30AM and is still going. It is perfect. Very slow gentle rain and not a drop has run off our land. I got on my ATV (side-by-side) and drove around the perimeter ...not a drop has run off and we are 1/2" in so far. Temp is 77 and my long suffering air conditioner is getting a much needed respite. So many of my Ash trees have already died and perhaps one oak, a few cedars and a hackberry or two. Interesting what has shown up in my queues. I have that bit checked to get other project's WUs when my normal is empty.
