Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 52 smilesmile

For those of you dealing with the extended extreme heat here in most of the US, don't overtax your machines, a/c or electric bill. MOT will be just fine. We could "cut back" a decent bit and still have a huge year. So, 2011 is going to be another great year, even at this point. We will pass our total production for all of 2010 around end of this week. Thru the end of July, we are averaging 843,880 points a day. That's a 308,016,303 point year, 62.5 percent over 2010. In July alone, we averaged 949,379 points a day. That means a 324,157,681 point year, a 71 percent increase over 2010. For June and July, we averaged 966,807 points a day for what would be a 326,824,108 point year, a 72.4 percent increase over 2010. So, we should not have any problem hitting 325 million for the year. Growing 71-72 percent over the previous year is no small accomplishment, especially at the scale we are at! Now as for a 365 million point year (a million points per day), we'd need to average 1,216,322 points a day for August thru December. We'll pick up quite well once this unsually extended period of extreme heat ends so while the full 365 million (a 92.5 percent increase) may not be possible (not ruling it out knowing this team!), we have a good shot at 350 million. In trying to look at a worst-case type of scenario, we're looking at probably a 25 million point month in August if the heat continues thru the month. If we remain at that reduced pace for the rest of the year, we would still end up just below 304 million. As you can see, we're going to have a great year just about no matter what happens (I do presume we won't completely fall apart in the meantime biggrin ). Oh, and in case someone is wondering, 2010 was up 48 percent over 2009 while we're looking at least at 60 percent for 2011. MOT is doing a great job and we're going to do just fine this year so every give yourself a big pat on the pack and enjoy a free virtual drink of your choice on me!!!

EDIT: I kan spel jerst fin, 'tis my fat fingurs that r de problum! wink

coffee coffee coffeeGood Morning MOT and visitors coffee coffee coffee
Congratulations Gerald, darth_vader and Daeloan applause applause applause
Forecast is for 109F today. sad Some shutdowns necessary.

Yup Keith, the 365 Million Point Year seems to get farther outside the realm of reasonableness every day. We would likely need new members to reach it.

Any of our visitors that would like to help you can: Join MOT here We would certainly welcome the help. smile

Everyone have a Great Day!

I just noticed RT's signature:

Back in MY day, we had NINE planets!

You know, if we had some real old timers, they might remember the previous time when there were eight planets.

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and (Back in my day, there was Pluto ... poor Pluto got demoted to "dwarf planet") Apart from just a few years ago when Pluto got demoted, I did not know that there was a change in the count. I suppose that there must have been a time before we knew about Mercury or Pluto or ?

As I recall, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn were know to the ancients as they were visible to the naked eye. Uranus, Neptune and Pluto were not found until after the invention of the telescope.
