As I recall, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn were know to the ancients as they were visible to the naked eye. Uranus, Neptune and Pluto were not found until after the invention of the telescope. That was 2 or 3 years before my birth though. Chiggers? Had not thought about that...but, the bugs on the front of your cars are almost non-existent, lawn mower maintenance and operating expenses are nominal but the water (for the oak trees only), and electrical are very high. Dry-land crops are non-existent so you can expect clothes that contain cotton to be higher, along with other things. Ranchers are selling their cattle early at reduced prices because they are having to feed them (feed/hay is scarce and high-priced); grazing land is all scorched and even though you see little differences in the price of meat now, it will rise later due to the shortage. All kinds of ramifications -- not just in the local area. |
