Has anyone running the Windows 8 trial version(s) noticed a drop in temperature on their machines?

I installed W8 on a laptop last night and it's now producing the same throughput at about 4-5C lower average temperatures. Pretty pleasing, though whether that's a setting I had 'wrong' before, or one that is 'right' now, I don't know...
