Re: LunchCrunch Report

Tis certainly good news to hear a definite on a new project heading our way.

If Sek's estimates are correct, DFSL has around 4 months to go, SNS has a long time but is not fully flowing at the moment, FAAH is trundling along nicely and finally CEP2 still with a year to go but is an opt-in project due to it's requirements. GFAM and HPF2 are all but done.

So while there is still plenty to crunch, it won't be long before there only 4 projects here and these should advance quicker as a result. Which is good as the boffins will get their results quicker.

Don't think that it will get close to running out of WUs by any means but a new project always brings a bit of extra enthusiasm.

The researchers have analyzed most of the results to date for the project and are currently writing a research paper about their findings. They seem pretty excited about what they have found, so we want to see what they will publish. This may take about 3 to 6 months, depending on how fast they finish writing the paper and how fast the journal reviews and schedules its publication. At the present time, the researchers think they will want to run some more simulations after publishing the paper, so we will set the project to a paused state, unless at some point they decide that they actually don't need to run more simulations. We have to be patient.

Maybe I'll get the 98 hours I need to make Emerald! biggrin

What's happened? No results since 00:00:05 shock

My results page says:
vm03 : 05/29/2013 08:00:06
vm05 : 05/29/2013 07:50:23
serendipity : 05/29/2013 07:00:04
vm01 : 05/29/2013 07:00:03
crunch : 05/29/2013 06:10:44
vm04 : 05/29/2013 05:00:07
vm02 : 05/29/2013 05:00:03
Caine : 05/16/2013 19:26:20 (gaming PC, am letting the new-build settle before restarting)

I only have 1 page of PV, too, so not sure what's going on there...

EDIT: Just checked, and it looks like there was network maintenance overnight, which may have affected all of my VMs and physical server (as they're technically all within the same test-lab in one datacentre). My gaming PC is the only one that isn't in that datacentre, and that's currently not doing any work as I'm letting the fresh install settle in before overclocking it again...

@ Thargor

That's reassuring! biggrin

I should have added that my info is only available at 3 hr intervals, the last of which was 09:00BST (08:00UTC) so that fits around your data quite nicely.

Re: Morning Update

Afternoon All.

Hitting GFAM only at the moment to try and get emerald. I'm 43 days RT away from doing a year, so it's going to be VERY close. I might even need to rely on WUs getting reissued at the end. At least they are still downloading... last one came in at 13:55.

Shame HPF2 is finishing too. I know have 30 days RT to get emerald for that, so I hope it holds out longer than GFAM.

Re: Morning Update

Good afternoon all,

I am hoping that I have enough GFAM work units in the tank and PV to get my 5 years before the project finishes. Currently at 4:296:21:53:55.
