I would love snow, but not currently working in the UK

So I thought I would give a little update to my experiments with my GPU. I did some reading on forms and with my playing I have come to two conclusions, AMD beats NVIDIA for HCC work, and it seems GTX670 suck compared to at least the GTX680 (or at least my one does).



I moved to CPU0.5 and GPU0.25 and I'm getting about 50 more HCC work units done in a 24hour period (~230 total) this is worked out by looking at the time which has jumped from ~8 to 24minutes per WU. This in no where compares to the 1000 Ian_UK seems to be getting. Which is pretty disappointing considering my card is technically not 25% the power of a 680. I blame NVIDIA for not making my card work like it should be able too. But i do have 28 pages of pending validation results which will be nice to get the points for.

Plus, just hit my 45day badge for HCC

Morning All

Hi themoonscrescent - I wasn't familiar with the Table Tilt Test but Google is my friend... sounds like it was quite intense. I hope it gives you the results you were looking for - apologies, but I don't know the details.

As I'm not doing any GPU stuff (my kit being rather simple and I no longer build my own), I'm pleased to see some CPU betas for FAAH out there. I've got less than 7 days of beta work under my belt and my bronze badge feels like a way away - I've already have one valid 7+ hour result and there's another one in progress.

In other news, my 4 gold badges are now only about 20 days RT each away from becoming Ruby - I'm aiming to try and get every project to at least 180 days before they stop - it's a shame that they weren't doing the project breakdown and badges when HCMD1, HDC, GC & AC@H were running, as all my time seems to have gone to FAAH and HPF1, each netting over 4 years RT, whilst the others ended up with 17, 18, 3 and zero days respectively.

Hoping to hit the top 50 in the team for RT soon... then I'll be in the top 50 for all 3 stats!

I have a similar aim only 365 days for Emerald and it looks like I'm going to miss out on CfCW by about 72 hours I've been too busy recently to micro manage else I could have increased my cache before the supply ran dry. Now I have to hope I can pick up enough resends to make up the shortfall. It's not looking good.
