Re: UK

Good work themooncrescent - there's some commitment.

Added a 2500k and 7870 yesterday, both 24/7. Should move things along a bit.

Re: UK

7½ hours on trains and 1½ hours late on the return journey on a train packed with students. I'd forgotten the delights(?) of rail travel on a Friday! sad

@ Soong That's good to hear. smile With luck that should take the UK team Avg Daily RT over the 300 day mark. biggrin

I misread the stats a couple of days ago. blushing haggistheoriginal continues to crunch but has not rejoined the UK team. sad The un-retiree was sgdale who has logged 0:003:10:52:03; 0:002:09:23:06; 0:001:18:39:52 in the 3 days since. smile

Catching my eye in today's stats:
kingsize_GB RT 0:000:19:30:05; Pts 37,086; Res 154. From which I conclude HCC GPU has had a considerable impact. smile

Likewise gibbcorp RT 0:001:18:32:19; Pts 46,414; Res 180. gibbcorp reports in another thread: I have just started crunching on my ATI 6870 but is having problems gaming when GPU is crunching. https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewpostinthread?post=395765

The UK team reported a total of 3,224 Results yesterday with 78.19% accounted for by HCC! This compares with the 7 day average, at 09.10.12 (before GPU), of 1,994 total and 61.99% HCC.

Re: UK

@ Thargor Nice going. Only about 11 days crunching before your Globe turns Emerald! biggrin

For myself I need the P/V gaoler to release another 27hrs to achieve a Ruby HCMD2. smile For now I'm back to crunching on a broad based project mix. Though I've still to resolve the no HCC GPU WUs issue. sad

Oh, and just noticed I hit 20 years run-time overall, too, in the same update! smile

Re: UK

Shame about Haggis, ohh well sad

Good going Thargor biggrin

Just to let the Team know that my stats will begin to slow down in the middle of next week, as I begin to transfer my cores over to FAAH (all systems will need to be verified on it, before going to No Wingman).

Also, I'm starting to be pressured a little about running all 4 systems from my wife, I'm holding out as long as I can, but if it starts to cause arguments, I'll have to drop the Quad & Dual cores for the time being (she's worried about the electricity cost), but I have managed to convince her that I should use All systems as & when a new project starts.

My argument being that, being a bit of a badge hunter, I haven't been able to crunch the projects I really want to due to the amount of new projects that have been released last year and my lack of Cores to get through them quickly. I only now have the CPU power to crunch through new projects at speed and that using everything I have will allow me to put new projects to bed quickly therefore allowing me to continue with the projects that bought me to WCG in the 1st place (All Cancer, Aids & HPF2).

My argument isn't precisely true, but if it takes the pressure off then so be it. biggrin

Re: UK

Just checked my results status and couldn't help but notice the somewhat over 100 days sitting in pending validation. 'Painful', this switch to HPF2! On the upside, the gpu units do seem to be making up for the current RT shortfall rather nicely :-)

Nice pair of milestones Thargor!

And I aspire to the near-total blueness of your badges, themooncrescent!

Ouch! I get aggrieved when my P/V gaol gets over 100 hours!

Re: UK

Unbeliable difference the GPU's are making (two of my main machines are crunching with them).

my previous top "results returned" in a day, 112.
Yesterdays "results returned" 489.
400% more!!!!!

previous best points, 65,479.
yesterdays points, 124,298

on the downside, it does seem to "rest" some CPU cores while using the GPU causing a significant reduction in runtime.

My statistic graphs look a bit stupid now.
