@Sheridon: I happened to notice you have put Germany in your Forum Profile.
That's good, because your name is so Anglo-Saxon looking.
Thank you - and hello neighbour

Re: Where are you from?

First there was this video in which Dutch anchorman and comedian Arjen Lubach announces a promotional video for the Netherlands, starting at 0:35 ("America first, The Netherlands second"). In this video they say that Brussels is a Dutch city; jokingly, of course. And so there is this comment on Youtube: "Since when is Brussels in the Netherlands? Oh *** yeah my bad the country is called Europe and, apart from France, Brussels is the largest city in Denmark which is a province of Amsterdam. Did i get that right?" Then (which is just now) I found this Danish ripoff wink

But hey, wait! There's more to watch. It's The European Comedy Summit 2018 at http://www.everysecondcounts.eu/. laughing

Re: Where are you from?

I like the Mr Trumpf parody so much. We may not have 'known' each other at the time, adrivehoef,
but I tried to do a post along the same lines - the repeating, emphasizing style. It's so characteristic for Mr Trumpf. And a gift for comedians, I think.
thinking Isn't Brussels a Dutch city?
Come on, Adri, you're feeding me fake news! cool
So, Europe is the country, France is the largest city in Denmark, Brussels comes next, and Denmark is a province of Amsterdam!
More fake news, I'm afraid, Adri. Denmark has nothing to do with Amsterdam.
not talking Denmark is the capitol of Sweden.
Second country?
If I were Mr Trumpf, I would have had a hard time naming the 2nd country - and I have only seen two - every country wants to be 2nd. The little mermaid is talked big in the video - is that the ripoff?
It's fake news. Actually she is so little that she disappoints quite a few tourists? 'Is she that small?'
Don't tell Mr Trumpf
Our Prime Minister tweets with Mr Trumpf
He's a tweeter our PM
A tweeter like Mr Trumpf
They tweet together
Our PM stays awake into the wee hours to tweet to Mr Trumpf
Not always words Mr Trumpf wants to hear though
But also some he likes to hear:
'When are those F35s arriving?'

adriverhoef, did the Netherlands make a similar investment in order to become 2nd country? Eh?

Name the European country. A guessing game.
nerd This is a very problematic lecture!
Luxemburg was ignored!
Macedonia is still questionable not as a country, but as a name.
They regard Turkey as non-European.
Personally, I still mess around with the former Yugoslavia and tend to place Bulgaria north of Romania ... blushing
In my time, Europe comprised the land mass to the Ural Mountains in the East. Now the European part of Russia isn't even in Europe. They could at least have included Königsberg/Kaliningrad?
The Crimea belongs to Ukraine here!
Malta? Cyprus?
How about you, adriverhoef?
Nooo, no, don't tell me; I know you know d oh
them all!

How would Europeans do on the other side of the pond?
Finally, I think I found something you don't know already, but I may be wrong: this one

We who come from Rhode Island as 2nd country know many, many states .... do you know them?

EDIT: Wrong music link corrected

Re: Where are you from?

It's been a long time, so let's run a small afternoon check of Forum Profiles just to keep in shape:
BladeD you're so fine - I have wondered? How come you almost always are at the top of the list?
Macromancer visits from Naples, Florida, USA - who could ask for anything more - he even states his career and gives a web link noone will be disappointed when looking you up
Eric_Kaiser is from Hessen in Germany - and he was always a Base Camper. Now it's official smile
StrainOfDestiny has crunched for 6½ years - your name makes me curious - what does it mean? And where are you from?
Pablo Malaga - still no indication of where you come from. Yes, I checked in January ...... tongue
Bok7575 has crunched diligently for 10 years and noone knows from where he comes
WCG2-172818 has crunched in silence since 2013
Panas began crunching 12 years ago, and he does it in silence with no country listed
Anarki has more than 11 years of crunching under his belt, he posts, he has a great name - spelled with a 'k' even - but we cannot see where he comes from
PMH-UK, London, UK - shipshape as always
In fact I never saw information being removed once it was put up. Revised, yes, but not removed.
DE113936, you are two WCG years old. How about telling us where you come from?
supdood, thank you for telling us you're from Massachusetts smile north of my former border. All of a sudden I said your name to myself, and it sounded subdued
Annnnna - I always have to count your 'n's. What is the history of all those 'n's?
Crystal Pellet is a damned good name ... good thing you have your SNURK sign wink
vlado101, you are with team Belarus around the world and your name looks east European, but you are from the USA your SNURK sign says. I think of a diaspora. I have thought about us making a Base Camp trek to you just because of Svetlana Alexandrovna Alexievich ... do you have a team thread? Could you make one? Do your members communicate?
NAP2614, pcwr, Apis Tintinnambulator, Johnny Cool, sujo1 I know your Forum Profiles are so good.
ca5065, you are my ongoing mystery confused
DeliciousShoesHD - now that's a name that wants to walk; you don't say from where, tho'
tongue

Technically, yes, but did you read the 'Errors&Omissions' report .... sad

This almost gives me goosebumps written just a few days ago by myself:
In fact I never saw information being removed once it was put up. Revised, yes, but not removed.
So what now with all the help from the EU? Will you delete your countries of origin?
Or will you rush into your Forum Profile and let me and everyone else know that you are from Penguinia?
