Health's a nonissue, till it is! And it all stacks up at once. I hardly ever saw a doctor other than regular check-ups until I was 45. Then the warranty expired  and all those injuries from years ago reasserted themselves.- D In your 20's, you're invincible. In your 30's, things start to change.<snip> When I was a senior in high school with my right hand and wrist in a cast for a couple of months after the last game of the season, I ran through the numbers and realized that my 2% chance of going pro (yes, that's much better than average) was not worth the risk. It gave me the courage to turn down a couple of football scholarships. My brother came to the same conclusion during his freshman year in college, when we was recovering from shoulder surgery for an injury suffered during a game. - D |

Funny, how similar all of us old guys stories are. We are all paying for our formerly "indestructible" selves. On the other hand, the alternatives to our high maintenance lives is considerably less desirable.

darth vader, I knew ypu wore that costume for a reason! Yes I ran track and realized that I had a much better chance of making a good living using my brain not braun. Loved and still love sports but it has its risks!!! Good morning team. seems one of my other big crunchers stopped working. I need to down load and set up that software that allows me to track and control all my computers. Ordered the last peice to Frankies bride and should have up and running tomorrow. Last new computer for a while!!!

Fixed one of main crunchers that was malfunctioning. Sorta a amazing how much mantainance these computers require when you run them full out 24/7! Then when they probably have done an unimaginable numbers of calculations per day I guess it is not. Probably like being amazed that one has to change the car motors oil after 3000 miles only to realize at proximately 2000 rpm on average that that is a lot of revolutions. Gerald you are scaring me! I will send Franky after you! Went from high of 105 yesterday to 57 this am. Crazy weather. Good night all!
