I see that the Air Force is less than four million points behind the Navy now so we may see parmesian back later this month.
----------------------------------------We may be getting close to flirting with a new team points day record. We did pass the 600 million mark today so just 400 million more to our first billion (maybe by the end of 2012???). What's up over on the other side of the other pond? Anyone over in Europe want to break the silence? We're averaging 642K+ points a day at the moment so we're on the verge of what may be a 20 million point month and a pace for a 234+ million point year. Yes, a lot can change given we're only 12 days into the year but it's definitely a good start. The number of members returning a result each day is an area of possible concern.I'd like to see that much higher but hopefully, that's related to the current weather issues and will improve soon. Gerald, how goes life in Texas and the rebuilding back home? Looks like you have more of your crunchers back in action.... I noticed Fanie dropped off our active list recently. I hope that is not due to bad news. Lawrence, how have you been lately? Judson, I presume you're recovered fine now (I hope)? Mike, I noticed that KC was finally getting some snow the other day. You fairing okay down your way? The rest of you stay safe and healthy! ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by keithhenry at Jan 13, 2011 1:52:44 AM] |

Good morning team. Sorry for the absence but have been trying to get the year off and dealing with my health. Both of which are doing very well so far and looks to be great year. My MB for new Machine is still on back order but trying to be patient, not my forte. Wagner here is even cold which is unusual. Otherwise for most part my machines are behaving, but appear even though all the projects allegedly reward the same amount of points that HCC rewards slightly less points the the newer projects on my array. Did receive a few Betas the other day which is nice and flirting with a silver badge over there.

Good Morning MOT ![]() Cold here. It has been in the 20sF here at night and 30sF in the day. At the moment it is 32F. I am ready for some more moderate weather ... everywhere. Interesting observation on HCC Judson; I wonder if that is true for other configurations. I am running nothing but HCC and the occasional Beta at this point. I am trying to get 50 years of HCC. Still coveting one of those i7 2600s ![]() |

Did receive a few Betas the other day which is nice and flirting with a silver badge over there. No problem with the absence. Great to hear things are on the way up! As for the points given by different projects here, I've found that it looks like the newer the project, the more points you get per runtime unit. Nothing scientific - I just looked at points per runtime minute (total points for a project divided by total runtime for it). Yes, runtime is not the same as CPU either. Still, I found a nice steady upward trend with each project in order of start. I'm sure the science apps are more efficient with the newer projects as the benefits of the learning curve kick in too. Useful I guess if you're really looking to squeeze every point you can out of your machines but not something that would shift which projects I'll run. |

You certainly deserve it! Looks like your crunching is around the pre-fire range. Gotta by nice to have things settle down to something normal again. Enjoy! |
