One of the big dogs on the team Hypernova just got back from holiday and is adding around 300,000 points a day.


Big dog indeed! Looks like he's moved around a little. Well, he's certainly doing his part for WCG which is what matters.

as an aside, I have an old server (we replaced it for some reason) and I want to run ubuntu on it from a flash drive (I don't want to screw up the windows server install). I can get it to run from the flash drive, but I can't get boinc to install to save my life. I don't know enough about terminal or linux to figure it out. any of you linux guys want to help a fellow out?


FWIW, was looking around and found an item about a diskless setup on ubuntu in the FAQ (search on ubuntu). Mostly greek to me but I did notice a mention that BOINC needed read and write access to the flash drive.

Is everyone aware that HFCC is expecting to finish in a few months? (see this post.) If you are looking to improve (or get), um ... hours, make sure your profile is set correctly.
