We had promised you this one for quite a while, but with all the news from the White House Materials Genome Initiative it has somewhat been put to the back of the queue. Anyways, we finally want to declare the winner of the naming competition for our new inhouse-cluster: It was a tight race, but the winner is: [tada] DAWN [standing ovation]! The runners up were Ra, Apollo, and Chloe. Thanks to all of you for submitting suggestions and participating in the vote!

So, the WCG maintenance seems to have worked out without noticeable interruptions or collateral damage. Great job done by the IBM team – as always!

By the way, is there any progress indicator available for CEP2?
----------------------------------------An indicator like an estimated time (/year) of completion, or a % of returned WUs / total number of WUs. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at May 21, 2012 9:19:18 PM] |

Dear Theor,
if you search this forum, you will find a detailed discussion on this topic. The bottomline is that there is a formal estimate and according to that we are about 1/3 into the project. In practice, however, this is a moving target. If we feel that we don't make any more progress, we will not waste computing time, but as long as we gain interesting insights, we will try to keep going. Best wishes from Your Harvard CEP team |
