Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Our Jabba built started out with these Tips and Tricks for the Backblaze storage pods. It was a bit of a challenge to update this slightly outdated parts list and find all the components – some of them are quite exotic and had to be custom made for us.

I personally think that cleanenergy is throwing down the gauntlet, and is challenging us to break their system again with too much information. Just like when MrKermit went on a crunching spree early on and when we filled up Miss Piggy. Now can we stuff Jabba with so much data that it blows up?

@Cleanenergy: Did I miss a post? Are these checkpointing now? BOINCtasks is showing a checkpoint after each job. confused I am too far in to them to stop one and see if it is a real checkpoint or a phantom.

We just cracked the 3 million results mark and are still getting returns of 20,000+ results per day. Awesome!
